east texas newbie hello......i just got my first ls1 today. bought it from a friend of mine for 700 bucks. 110,000 miles, from a 98 t/a, also got a good 460 auto, and the wiring harness. he thinks he stacked a bearing on the crank. i hope that is all that is wrong w/ it. i'm 47 & still raising a family, so i'm gonna have to move slow. i have a 97 chevy s-10 i want to put it in. i drive my truck 70 miles a day round-trip. i'm hoping to be able to retain my a/c, heater and have a reliable truck that can also be fun and stay over 20 on milage,{if i can keep my foot out of it!} wish me luck and try to excuse my ignorance!

you may also want to consider looking to blazinlow or S10forum
they have a lot of dedicated S-series guys that know a lot about doing the V8 swaps into dimes....
