Don't listen to the close minded fool!

NASTY looking project Joe! Z3s are fun as hell to drive. With an 8cyl. that thing is going to be the *****!

Nice car to you as well Luke. Looks like you lost it in that first video on streetfire LOL. Did you strengthen the rear subframe of the car?

I'm a BMW tech, and that's really the weak point in these 3 series cars. We see it much more often in the E46 cars though.

If you haven't done so, you really ought to think about it!

Thanks man!

She fired up for the first time last month, but I finally took my first "real" ride in her tonight- until now I've put 7 miles on her basically troubleshooting some minor bugs. My experience tonight actually made me start another thread in the conversions forum....cruising down my street in 3rd around 2000rpms or so and decide to lay into the fun pedal....those big pirelli's never had a chance

Domesticated Euro -

Did you do a custom reinforcement on the rear end or go with one of the kits on the market? I used Randy Forbes' kit and am impressed thus far.

GodDamn... those are some sweet LS1 BMW's! Hmm... My dad has a 99 Z3 coupe he will be selling within the next year or two that will have probably 140K on it by then. Sounds like I may have found a project in an LS1 Z3coupe.

The Coupes (well they really are hatches) are simply orgasmic. You are very lucky if you end up with one.

Yeah I love that Z3 Coupe but its an Auto! I'm always on him for getting an Auto since he always had manuals before that. The car handles soo well though. Actually If he does sell it to me I won't be putting an LS1 in it I think he would dissown me. Just the limited times I've driven it I love it though and he keeps the car in tip top shape too. It would such a fun car for handling if it were only a manual.

here is a pic of it. He put a Cat back on it and had the stock wheels pained the color in the pic with a polished lip. Other than that its untouched.

The coupes make awesome track cars! I enjoy cruising with the top dropped, but it becomes a pain when my rollbar isn't sufficient for some clubs. The coupes are exponentially more rigid than my roady, and you can fit some fat rubber under the fenders w/o too much trouble...
