Hello from a new member also. Do you want to drag race your new car? If so you might want to consider an automatic. Much more consistant in times. No chance of missing a shift unless you break.

Don't buy a m6. Just put a stall in your auto and then your car will be more fun than an m6. I love my car and a 3600 yank will make it that much more fun.

Welcome to the site! I won't try to steer you in any direction regarding transmission choices. There are + and - to both trannys. The autos are nice at the dragstrip and in traffic, and the M6 is fun to drive and rip-off gears on windy roads. This site has more than enough knowledge to answer all of your questions.

Thanks for the warm welcome's and input

i've heard different opinions about auto's and stick, and i've driven an auto for so long that it gets boring and i never have the power i want, when i need it, where i can just down shift and then im gone, i'll keep my auto V6 and then pick up a M6 LS1

different strokes for different folks

Welcome aboard from another coonass. I' m down here on da bayou. Having both of those cars could be nice, One for commuting, and the other for terrorizing the streets! Just remember.... It' s cheaper and easier to be fast with an auto, a good torque convertor will bring an auto to life! 6-speeds are a lot of fun in their own right, but if you' re inexperience (which at some point we all were), you can tear some **** up! Try driving one of each, and go from there. Either way, it' ll be an awesome car!
