Default New to the site...

Hey guys I'm new to the site, but not to cars and Forums. I am a Moderator over at NICOClub.com I own a 240SX and I am planning on installing an ls1 once my stock KA is shot.

This car is going to be a grip race car, I have brought it to VIR and competed in the lap battle at the Patriot course. I placed 4th in my division.

I am very happy with my currrent suspension setup, but it need to be a little stiffer, currently I have KTS coilovers, SPL RUCAs, SPL Aluminum Subframe Bushings, 300ZX Diff, 300ZX Brakes, and SPL tension rods. I plan on keeping my multilink rear end.

I've been reading up alot on the site, but im not sure what I'm going to be getting myself into. I have experience in custom fab work, and I am sure I will get through it.

Right now I DO NOT have the LS1, I am saving for the swap plus any money that i do not forsee before the swap.

here are a few pics of the car.

... well only 1 for now, the hosting site is being slow, so more to come in the next day.

Thanks for checkin it out.

Welcome. Pretty slick car, but I' m not feeling the body kit though, but I also don' t feel ANY body kits. Other than that, it sounds like you have a hell of a setup on it!

yeab i forgot to mention the car was totaled when i bought it, salvage title. I purchased the front end and the body kit was actually supposed to be temporary. I will probably stay on until i get the ls1 installed then i will probably buy a stock bumper, with some sort of front underspoiler for some control at the track.

Welcome to the site! You will find a great deal of automotive knowledge here, so feel free to ask questions. I love the color of your ride - what is that paint color called?

I didn' t mean anything bad in my previous statement, I' m sure a lot of people do like it. I' d like to see it with a stock bumper, like you' re considering.

Ya know, I actually don' t mind that hood and those lights. I' m just not into the aftermarket bumpers like that. If there is a bumper that will accomodate, the hood, lights, and look similar to the factory bumper, that would make a slick car! That blue you used, looks great as well!

thanks, the bumper was not readily available 3 years ago when i bought it, now they are commonly available. it was also a bumper that fit in my price range that wasn't really ricey. as for the color it is a factory Acura NSX color, Long Beach Blue Pearl, I was looking at Nassau Blue and Electron Blue, but this color was right in the middle. I really like the color, I get so many compliments on it.

N/P. I didn' t realize, that you used Long Beach Blue Pearl. Saw pics of an SS a while back painted that color and it looked BADASS!!
