New from the UK
Just registered and thought I'd say hi from across the pond. I'm going to be trying to fit an LS engine to an old British coupe (Rover P5B) that originally used the Buick derived Rover V8 so I thought I'd better get talking to the experts!
Do expect some daft questions!
Cheers,

But enough of that, my P5B NEEDS a LSx engine!! I just need to learn a little (or a lot)!! The shell re-build is nearly finished and it's time to start thinking about trial fitting the engine & components.
I hope to learn all I need on here!

Welcome and post pics of the swap as your doing it so we can follow your build! What CI lsx engine you looking to use in your rover?

Well I'm really starting from the beginning and haven't even decided on what engine to even start with yet, I'm going to put up a thread to ask a few simple questions such as why should I choose an LS1 over an LS2 or any other LSx type and which ones were alloy blocked etc. That's my main preference, alloy blocked and capable of at least 400hp, it also needs to go on an auto box (which I also need to choose). Once decided I'll need to find a source of the base engine either in, or delivered to, the UK and then find out good reputable companies (in the US) to help with the parts I'll need for the re-build.
So many questions but having done a bit of searching and reading on the forum you are a friendly and knowlegable bunch which is going to be of great help.
I'm looking forward to it!

). The two coolest rallying n.a. hatches ever were the Lotus Sunbeam Talbot and the Chevette (NO my fellow Yanks, NOT the $h!tbox we got!!
FAR from it!!). Maybe the Metro 6R4 as well, but that's another story! This (the L.S.T.) is what I also thought (along with the Tiger) you might be trying to squeeze an LSx into!!!!
