-if not id like to buy the GMC ls6 conversion kit which comes with heads and a cam shaft should bump me to 405hp stock... my exhaust would be long tube headers and true dual exhaust with an H pipe

about the H/C packages, i'm not sure if you know or not, but, there's a difference between fly wheel HP (fwhp) and rear wheel HP (rwhp). one is the HP measured at the engine, the other is the HP measured at the wheels after all the drive train loss. pretty much everyone's numbers around here will be rwhp.
if i'm correct, the believe the LS6 H/C package is only rated at 405 fwhp. although, with a free flowing exhaust i'd assume its higher. but anyway.... the cam in that combo is going to be VERY mild. your definitively looking at under 400 rwhp w/ that package, and basically all the others out there will put you in between 400-500 rwhp. just depends on what you have to spend.
as far as a good H/C combo, look through the sponsor lists for sponsor thats close to you. if it were my car, i'd want the shop that sold the combo to install it. it all will also need to be tuned. so keep that in mind.
i'd go down to the regional boards and look through the south-east one. ask around. do some searches. not like i'm putting you off, but, you need to do some research on your own. anyway, good luck! you'll love that car, especially after the H/C

stokedporcupine thanx for the help, I'm still trying to understand how the cam's work.. also how heads can make or break a cam....
I'v read that what ever cam set up you get it would be good to have a head set up that makes up for the cam's weaknesses.
But cam numbers are like reading a Foreign Language
