Just got the '00 Firebird back tonight -- she's tagged, titled and on the road - finally. I'll get pics soon -- we're having a gathering in Rockville on March 3rd at 2:00 at Cici's Pizza, I'm hoping maybe I'll see some LS1Tech members there. I'll probably be in the purple third gen since that's what the crew likes to see, but I'm definitely itching to show off the new car. It's hawt!

BTW, what's "SN" stand for? Sign in?

 

hey- ive met you at capitol before when i was making my license passes! I got the white WS6- and in Mt. Airy, i see that your in damascus! I didnt know you had that many cars, all sweet rides! Good luck with all and im sure ill see you around!

And yes, Jeff @ PSI is the man, hes working on my new setup now getting ready for the PGD's- i use to be a FBC customer but not no more!

could this possibly unite f-body hideout and ls1tech? last time i checked the two were pretty polarized. like for eastern f-body association vs. mid-atlantic cobra association at MIR, pretty much all EFA members are on tech, but the f-body hideout guys planned to go to the track the day after? instead of one good day, we ended up with two mediocre turn-out days...

Hey, Ash -- I post on some of the other boards you're on and try to keep up with how your racing is going. Glad to hear you're doing well. And, yes - I just spent the evening moving most of them around in the driveway so I could put the new one on the carport before tomorrow's ice storm. Don't want my new baby getting pounced with freezing rain -- the paint is too new. Unfortunately I ended up putting the gold Sept. 11 T/A vert in the driveway, left the purple Z28 on the carport -- I'm getting ready to put a car cover on her now. The only one of my fbody's not in the driveway is the red T/A vert -- it's at the b/f's shop -- we need to go pick it up and bring it back here, but I'm running out of driveway, lol.

I really should take a pic of all of them together -- I could have my own car meet, lol.

Anyway -- I'm on f-bodyhideout, efa and a bunch of other sites too, but don't post very much on anything but the hideout, here and camarosource.ca (I'm a mod there, so I have to check in daily).

We're having a gathering in Rockville on March 3rd (Sunday) at 2:00, Cici's Pizza right on the pike near Randolph Road. Maybe you other Mt. Airy peeps could cruise down there with me????

 

We'll have to see what we can do to make sure it doesn't happen again. I haven't met anyone on any of the boards I haven't liked -- ultimately, it's all about the car, right?

 

yes it is, everyone i have met in person from both forums seem to be about the same thing, i actually saw you and your car in person a while ago, forgot what event, i think something happened to your car that night, messed up the front or something...i wanna say it was the mega meet but i dont remember...

Yep, the Mega Meet -- was on my way home sitting in stopped traffic on 95 and had an 18-wheeler bounce off my front end...waited almost two hours for the police to come. Idiot driver doesn't speak any english, was on the cell phone when it happened (and he was driving his manual tranny truck with bedroom slippers, urgh!) and I didn't have a fricken horn (and still don't)so I had no witnesses. And it happened on April Fool's Day, lol -- luckily the cop vouched for me with my insurance company and let them know that while I was on the 911 call from the road I was telling the operator that the idiot driver was drifting backwards again -- I'm sure they could hear the panic in my voice. If he'd not come back and just tapped off the front end and started going forward again, his truck was high enough off the ground he would have rolled right through to the windshield before he hit anything solid to stop him.

Fortunately all the bounce did was take off a chunk of paint on the fascia. She's fixed now and I actually had the entire car repainted with a blue pearl clear coat to make the purple a little more on the blue side, less on the pink side and changed the black "Ford Girl Gone Bad" to silver so it's easier to see.

Any chance you'll make it out to Rockville next Sunday for the f-body gathering?
