Native of Dallas, now living in Houston. With several cars under my belt, one being a 300hp Talon and several 240sx's and a 440hp 93 mustang, it's about time I find something that comes from the factory with 300+ HP so here I am from the dark side. I have been looking around trying to learn as much as possible. Any insight in what I should be looking for when I do end up finding the LS1 I want would ne nice. My price range is <9k for a 98-99 Trans Am or Z28 with a M6. Is it possible to find something decent for that price? Thanks

Welcome.......If you are looking for deals they are out there....I have found that a few more grand now can save you a few later........I just picked up another Ls1 car last week. 2001 Camaro Z28 with 47k miles for 11.9 ...Are you going to Mod it up or just keep it stock??

I looked at the above car listed today, and it was oficially my very 1st LS1 to ever drive, the salesman at the dealership let me take it out by myself and WOW. For appearing to be stock, it hard a pretty loud rumble and the torque in 1st gear could get the car sideways. Although the car was nice, it was priced cheap because of "paint work" and the power windows were quite slow. It was a little scary coming from a 2.7L Toyota Tacoma right now but o-so-nice.

And I also hope to be able to spend more so that I will find exactly what I want. And the mod bug gets everyone, keeping it as my DD will be my main goal, hopefully!
