231 ci of slow :)
Hey guys whats up, I've posted from time to time but never introduced myself. My names Ryan I have a 2000 Camaro, I used to have a 93 Z but I traded it in (lotta miles, started fallin apart - gotta love speed density). I bought the V6 with every intention of building a bad *** 3.8 . Haven't decided on boost or stroker + nitrous. I dont have the cash for engine work yet so Im setting up the suspension and drivetrain first. Anyhoo, just wanted to say whats up. Everyone on here seems pretty knowledgable so it looks like I'll be on here quite a bit

just about everything about the buick 3.8 turbo engine is differnt includeing the block(dont know if there are more differnces other than the oil drain back for the turbo being cast into the block) , however i would think with the same heads and cam profie, and the same turbo it would perform the same. do the 3.8s in the f bodys have a roller cam or flat tappet? buicks were all flat tappet from the factory.

The 3800 is a little peppy engine, i saw a guy with custom long tubes and abbiot racing heads/port polished intake manifold get around 273 hp, and thats not even touching the internals. I would assume with a nice little cam you should be able to get around 330 and more with boost/spray.

We have the most knowledgeable gmv6 member base out there. We have quite a few members looking to destroy some records soon. I'm pretty confident we'll have a couple of street 10 second cars running around when the weather gets cooler.
