New guy- 97 Formula Just picked up a 97 Formula Firebird, red, 6 speed and about 44,500 miles. Beautiful car, fast and sexy. Absolutely love the car other than a few weird things.
The right turn signal doesn't work- there was a bulb out in the taillight and in the front turn signal. Replaced the bulbs and it still doesn't work- the DRL doesn't work, but lights when you turn the headlights on. Weird.
I also can't find the trans dipstick- I know where it's supposed to be, but it simply isn't there. The previous owner put Edelbrock headers on and they're a tight fit- maybe they relocated the trans dipstick?
Anyway, great car but for those things and an exhaust leak I haven't tracked down for sure, but suspect to be a blown gasket on the driver's side header.

Your turn signal switch is probably dead, I'm in the same boat myself but only the left blinker. Gotta switch, now to find some time and a steering wheel puller...

Thanks guys0 it was a really annoying bulb and socket issue that was cleared up cheaply.

Thanks all- got a set of stock wheels (wheels that came on it are not my taste) and some brand spanking new 245/50/16 tires going on this week!
Can't wait to get those wheels on- I always loved the 93-97 style and I remember all those magazine tests with the stockers. Silly sentimentality, I guess. Once I get those on, I'm gonna take some pictures and post them in here somewhere.
