Hey everybody

hey, My names mark, ive been under a few other forums under the same name, but i decided to get active here since my 96 trans am got hit, i just today got a 2000 z28 (auto) with about 95000 miles, and my father and i are in the process of building a 98 into a drag car, we have the motor out of a 02 camaro and basically everything to get it going, but the car is getting the suspention and cage built, so thats gonna be a while. we plan to run A/FIA eventually, but just bracket race until its worthy haha.
well thats my intoduction, ill get pics of my z tomorrow mabe, it needs a little body work, but ive delt with worse so it will all end up good

hey welcome to the site, theres tons of usual knowledge on this site. are you looking to do anything in particular to your motor, H/C, FI, nitrous?

i havent really decided what im going to do yet, or even if ill keep this engine, i have an iron 6.0 sitting in the garage out of a heavy duty truck (LQ4? is it?) and i was thinking of stroking it. most likely it will be NA cause im not making enough to start building or support a FI car, ive got machine shop connections though and ive got a good set of heads in the garage ill put on when i cam it, so probably h/c and eventually stroked. mabe juice but idk it too well, just no experience with it.

just a little update, my car after doing a little research and checking out the motor wasnt taken care of very well lol, some piston knock, basically just needs rebuilt and bored. my thoughts are that im going to drop that 6.0 in there slightly built, ported heads, cam, and bored 30 over, hopefully ill bump the compression up a little bit and ill get it all tuned in. i already have all the tranny parts, minus the converter. im gonna do about a 3000 stall, b&m shift kit, vette servos, beast suncase shell and mabe some other bits.
hows that plan sound?
