changed ford guy

back in '01, my dad bought a triple black svt cobra convertible new and since then, its only been driven 6k miles. it really is fun as hell to drive (i know its not a chevy, but still haha) anyways, i originally was lookin for an older 5.0 stang, but i had no idea that an ls1 car could be had within the limitations of my budget. im new to ls1's but from my friends who talk about them and the guys on the mustang forums who say how much potential ls1's have. they've gatta be amazing if ford guys talk about swapping them into their older stangs!

i'll always have a place in my heart for my dad cobra, but at the same time, id love to spank on the street

anyways, thats just a brief intro. thanks for the great forum, i look forward to asking tons of questions toward building a fast street car. but first i need to find a car to start with!
The great thing about this site is that you will find a few SVT folks among the LSx. For all of our good natured banter, we try to shoot it to you straight and you find true love among us all.
Have fun.

Enough about the Fords though. Make sure you stick with '98 or newer because the market and amount of information out there for LT1's is a lot more limited than LS1's. Not to mention LS1's respond better to mods, are lighter, have individual coils...need I go on?
If only the above were the case on here, all would be well with the world (or at least LS1Tech). The sad truth is that many on here would rather drive a
(Hon)duh (let alone a Poopra) than a Blue Oval product.
I NEVER understood this.I on the other hand welcome and defend ALL domestic nameplated/American muscle product.
