new to the ls1 world

i just returned from iraq and i bought myself my very first LS1. it is in a 2004 Pontiac GTO and is mated to a six speed. i have money in the bank and i want to put about 500 ponies to the ground. i want to do it right, and i want to be able to have it as my daily driver as well. i am torn between running a naturally aspirated set up, or adding some boost. im not afraid to add a little laughing gas on race night either. suggestions? thanks yall

Congrats on the purchase. If i were you i would start by doing some free stuff like taking weight out of it. Those are HEAVY. Other than that you just have to ask yourself what you want out of it. IMO i would build a nice 40X and stay naturally aspirated with giggle gas. But just search around the site and maybe take a look at some LS1 set ups and see what you like best. Again congrats.

If you want a daily driver just do some sort of FI, and be done with it. To make the numbers you want N/A with out Juice will not really be a good daily driver.

I would personally fix the suspension with all pedders before I started to add anything for power.

bolt ons and spray will still be a good dd
nice set of heads/cam//90/90/lt's/ory/catback/ n2o= 500hp
if not then very very very close to 500 i would say
parts sale dept. has a ton of good parts for sale right now.....piece the top end together for a lot less than buying new for sure
