It all sounds good but I wouldnt let some guy at the dealership drive my ta for an hour on a brand new clutch. You should go pick it up your self. Heres why, if your clutch is not properly broken in you can screw up how it performs and wears in the long run. Just drive the hour to pick it up. Plus you wouldnt be sitting on pins and needles thinking of how much fun he's havin driving your TA and tearing it up. Good luck.

indeed. i was thinking of that as well. they havent even said whether or not i am getting a new clutch for sure because they havent looked at it yet (not till tomorrow), but im going to push for them to replace it because whatever problem is present, it is causing the gears to grind and it pops in and out of gears, so it's causing wear on the clutch components the longer i drive it like this. and the pedal gets stuck, so really the clutch has never been properly engaged and disengaged since i bought the car to say the least.

with all of that im going to try hard to get them to replace it. any help?

Nice.

But now strip the molding, shift ****,tips, tint. What color decals are you going with? You can find decals at the ws6store.com And you might need a k&n and lid.

And then go smoke the GT with a body kit.

Great looking car. How does it compare with your LT1. Ive had both, but never close to one another to judge the difference. I always felt the LT1's had a little more low end grunt, but that may just be a perception issue.

the LT1 was fun to drive but the LS1 is very noticeably faster. LT1's sound much better, more aggressive.

Bottom line is LT1 is raw power
LS1 is refined power

I already smoked the GT with my LT1, so the GT is definitely no match for the superior-in-every-way-LS1

1. Strip what molding?
2. Car already has the wonderful hurst ****. i'll keep that. and replace shifter with hurst short throw/umishort stick combo (or) entire pro50 shifter...
3. no exhaust tips, if the warranty permits there will be a catback added, either borla or SLP loudmouth. headers would be nice but they are probably prohibited as far as the warranty is concerned.
4. Decals, i would like mirrored. what color are yours?
5. SLP lid is coming very soon. K&N for sure.

Its good to get regular gas to cause knocks.

The door molding. And tips shouldnt void any warranty.

Mine are mirrored chrome decals.

Very nice car!!
IMO you should put on black overlays on the bird and trans am badges.black inserts for the pontiac on the back bumper. Tint the rear tail lights and black ZR1/SS style wheels with a polished lip.

I have a LT1 and my dad has 2 LS1's and iv raced all three. The LT1 does have better bottom end.But the mid range in the LS1 is noticably different.

the molding he's talking about is the side molding on the door. comes off with dental floss. i'd take the badges off too.

I would do chrome accents with chrome wheels if it were my car, maybe some c6's

SOM is beautimus

True. but the fact of the matter is they lied or misinformed me about the details of what the warranty covers, so in order to get something fixed (that shouldnt have been wrong if the car was on their lot anyways) i had to waste my time and my gas to bring it back. in my line of work when i mess something up i have to fix it, or i get a guilty conscience and a bad "customer service index".
