Newbie from Down Under G'day all,
Just wanted to stop past an introduce myself, my mate is Wayne and i'm from Sydney Australia (although may be Colorado in the future) I currently drive a phantom black 2003 Series II VY SS Commodore powered by the mighty LS1..

I'd love to bring it with me if we move unfortunately it will probably have to go to help pay moving costs..

Always loved the Commodores and the Monaros. The wheels look like the stock 17"s on the GTOs, are they the 17"s or the AU only 18" version?
I have an '04 GTO with the '05-'06 18"s(VY CV8 wheels) that I plan on doing the full VY CV8 look eventually. The VZ look is a lot more popular here, so something just to be different. Beautiful car!
Oh and is the gas tank next to the right rear tire? I always heard the '04 GTO had both pipes out the left side because the gas tank is on the right in earlier Monaros. Is this true with the Commodore as well?

Yep the tank is on the right hand side..

In the next year or two I'm planning a cam change, don;t want to do too much to it as its a daily driver just want to get it into the 12's at the drags..
not seeing a problem with twelves w/ drags...but then again im new to this whole scene as well...just curious i may be dumb for askin this but what is the competition to the LS1 over there...?

Ford has the Falcon 5.4l V8 they also have a 4l turbo 6 as well, plus the chrysler 300c that's about it I guess.. But the Commodores and HSV have been the fastest Aus sedans for a bit.. My car was rated at 245kw when it was relesed and the same year falcon had 260kw and I hose them all the time..

Not to bad at all the newer falcons would probably be in front of me but not by much after the edit I'm going to eat them.. The HSV made at the same time as my car were putting out 285kw so it's just all in the tune.. I love these ls1's so easy to make power out of them it's not funny..
