Default New from Winnipeg Canada

My name is Jean-Marc, my new project is to plant a LS engine out of a 2002 silverado into my 55 GMC truck. Here is a couple question, I have a 71 Firebird front clip on the truck, am'I going to run into clearance issues with the oil pan. I saw on ebay engine mount conversion kit to fit the SB cross member that move the engine back 1" and an other kit that doesn't, which one sould i used? Can a 700R4 fit the LS engine?
Thanks, JM
