Not a ricer car. It is still a foreign job, though.

Welcome to the next level of automotive performance!! There is nothing like an Lsx motor that will perform as good. If your looking for parts and knowledge this is the website to be at, I get most of my parts from vendors like, texas speed and performance, speed inc, thunder racing.......just to name a few

My brother used to have an '01 Eclipse Spyder Gt. It was actually very nice. He did a lot of work to it, including supercharging it. It was pretty fast, as i remember, but now that i think about it was probably only as fast as a full bolt-on f-body. It was really a sexy car, but he started having marital problems (nothing to do with the car) so he demodded it, and sold it. he then wanted to buy an Audi, but decided to go cheap with a Passat! i was very disappointed with him, but he said he needed a family car. I know he still wants something fast, and he loves to drive he has to have a manual tranny with all his cars. If the GTO had a four-door i know he'd buy it. I also wish the Grand Prix GTP/GXP came in manual.

so which model should i be looking for if i want to boost it?
all of the models (z28/ss/TA/formula/ws6) are the same performance wise. All of the motors are essentially the same (with the 01-02s having an ls6 intake, and slightly better rod bolts). So, if you are looking to go FI buy the cheapest one you can find because you will need the funds.

+1, You have basically hit the gold mine as far as ls1 parts, info, and general enthusiasts go. I would highly recommend staying from vendors who are not sponsers here.

The reasoning is that the sponsers here have to answer for bad business practices. Get screwed??? well post up your complaint/grievance in the sponser feedback forum. The sponser will then have an opportunity to defend himself, and other members who have delt with the sponser in the past will chime in to support the sponser or perhaps attack him with claims similar to yours. Simply put, BAD SPONSERS DON'T LAST LONG.

If you miss the toss ability of skittle thats an easy fix: Koni shocks. You wont believe you are driving the same car.

If your going to buy a car to mod then get a T/A or a Z28 they're not as expensive so the money you save can go into your mods or make it look like a WS6 or SS. I personaly hate it when people buy a ss and cut it up in a race car or some **** but thats me.

because posts in certain sections don't count. i.e. on SRO, I have 10000+ posts, but it only lists 2k. Why? 8k+ are in the sections that don't count it...

If looking for light weight look for a z28 with no options. Formula's are supposed to be light too, but most low optioned Firebirds I've looked at still had like audio controls on the steering wheel and such, typically the Pontiac's have more options.
In other words some of the cars out there have manual cloth seats, etc, where as most T/A's have heavy *** power leather and other creature comforts. Look around, somewhere on here is a list of what stuff weighs in these cars.

Too bad the only good thing about the 98-2002 Camaro/Firebirds is the engine.

Why do you think everyone refers to them by their engine name?
