Personally, a portion of what makes a ricer is the car, but a greater portion is the driver. Of course the high revving weedeater-esk sound from the exhaust on a 4 or 6 cylinder is annoying, but what is even more annoying is the jackasses behind the wheel. You're gonna love the switch, but take some words of advice. Take it easy until you know your car and ultimately, respect your car. I don't want you ending up in a ditch because going from an eclipse to an LSX powered car is quite a leap. If you want to take a car into a ditch, I'd go with a Mustang GT LoL jk. GL with the car shopping man!

thats a respectable rice rocket, i couldn't see if it had a fart pipe but i didn't see a big **** on that rig!

Congrats on the switch. 2 points, weight...the formula or a stripper Z28 will be the lightest (factory weight) but if looks are an issue the difference isn't anything a few more ponies can't make up for. Second, and this might help out even more...you're switching to a car with an engine that's more technologically advanced, handles boost and mods exponentially better and probably gets almost as much mpg than your last. All with 8 thumping cylinders. Case in point, my father's friend just drove his '00 C5 hardtop (with 425 rwhp) home from speed inc. in Chicago to the tune of 34.5 mpg highway, and his (bone stock) '99 T/A gets 32 highway. Let me take a wild guess - both your vehicles are M6's, right? I'd bet the old 4L's don't get that kind of milage in the real world... at least unless they have a 2.32 or 2.11 gear.

The vette and the T/A, which neither are mine are both M6's. The old man's SS is however an M4 and still gets right at 27 highway (on stock 3.23's) and mine with WAY too much stall for a street car gets 20 highway with 3.73's. And BTW, 2.73 is the stock pooch gears if you have a no option Z28 or T/A, and those almost cost you mileage due to having to downshift to pass anything but a unicycle.
