newbie here name is mark..... just introducing myself. i have always been a mustang guy and still own a modded 07 gt but i just took the LS1 plunge 2 days ago and bought a midnight blue 2001 ss camaro from the original owner and 50k on the odometer with a M6 trans. let me tell u.... i am hooked and can't wait to mod this car... never thought they were that quick stock... i have black leather interior as well..... really got a steal i believe...... anyways... i am sure i will be bugging people with all sorts of questions with my quest to be a 10 second daily driver.... so thanks in advance for any help given.

just bought it 3 days ago... so no pics yet..... but i will get
some up this weekend..... funny..... i have always been a mustang
guy..... but have also always wanted an LS1 car..... now that i own one
i am happy as hell....... for now i am already planning on , cam , oil pump, timing chain, long tubes , y-pipe and dyno tune.... it has right now a lid and smooth bellow... not sure if its the best lid but it does have a lid...lol
as well as skip shift delete , no govenor , brake and slave cylinder upgrade and lowering springs........and i belive the ls7 ls2 clutch upgrade.

I know the small mods add up quick. Next for me is Stage 2.5 5.3L heads with TSP MS3 cam, LTs, true dual, and Textralia OZ700 X-Grip Clutch and flywheel. When I bought mine it had the skip shift taken off - thank God. Hate it when the light comes on.
I always have been pretty disapointed with how slow mustangs are stock. I really don't think it's right that I have an 8 year old car and when it was stock, I was beating new mustang GT's with bolt on's. I do like the looks of mustangs, but they just lack speed. Congrats on the switch over. You will **** yourself when you see what a full exhaust (headers back), gears, and a cam will do to your car. PLus now you are somewhat exclusive. I see like 10 mustangs every time I am out, but maybe 1 LS1 F-body if I'm lucky.

i love my mustang but its true... i have an 07 gt auto with 4.30 gears , CAI , tune, rear suspension , , exhaust and 100 shot of nitrous and it runs 12.2 at 114.8.... on nittos. the ls1 stock with lid and exhaust and gears on nittos probably goes as fast as my bottle pass...lol
