From Misery (MO) and cam question
First id like to state the facts.... Just purchased a clean 98 SS white w/ black top. chrome 17" zr1's with bf G-forces all around, borla muff, two Jlw10v3's and 500/1 with a kenwood 600watt for the vocals (more weight).
So i figured i should join/learn somemore about this car. I also own two foxbody notchs. 1 is an 89 with Sonic Blue for shade and packin a 351w, t5, yadda yadda... The ls1 just doesnt hold its own at the moment.. would like to change that. The other notch is a 91 with 50k miles. Pretty clean also... Nuff about the junk.
The ls1.... can somebody recommend me a cam? Not sure if i can find what im looking for. I would like one that works with everything currently on the stock ls1 as far as internals. One that i can drive everyday (shes my DD) and still notice a power increase. One that doesnt require too violent of a stall.
(should be getting a tune on the SS here soon)

are you willing to at least put Long Tube headers on the car?
without that you're gonna be choking the engine.
but there are plenty of tried and true cams that are very friendly. the 224 cam is great for about 380rwhp with bolt ons, the 228 cams are good for another 10-15hp over that.
all are very mild to drive.
but considering you can get to nearly 350rwhp with boltons and a good tune, it will depend on your goals.

whats up i have a comp cam 224/228 duration 581/588 lift on a 112lsa i just pulled out for a much wilder race cam cause my car is not dd anymore the cam has 7k miles on it and is still in perfect shape i will sell it to you if interested 250 bucks. this cam was great when i daily drove my car but now it only comes out on the weekends. if your interested pm me.
