Default A little help from the experts

I have been lurking around here for about 8 years now...I am in the market for a 98-2002 ws6. My question is what do I look for when i go and look at potential cars to buy??? Like I know about the 4L80E in automatics and the rear ends in 6 speeds, but is there anything else??? Thanks for listening!

You won't find a 4L80E in any '98-'02 WS6, unless it was done aftermarket.

They all came with 4L60Es.

Typed a 8 instead of a 6.

check for twisted or bent frames, listen for noises in the motor, a service history with good maintenance is a huge plus for any used vehicle, if the car had any young owners it was probably abused, oil in the radiator, etc.

Smile

id get a very stock car or a nicely modded one meaning tuned and built soundly.

what i mean is look for something clean weather its stock or modded. most cars this old will need some repairs just try to avoid major ones.
