Quick Time Performance - Great Vendor! On Monday 11/3/03, I called up QTP to order a y-pipe to fit on my 1 7/8" grotyohann headers. I talked to Barry and he was extremely helpful in getting me setup with exactly what I needed. I ordered with them at 3:00 in the afternoon (central) as they were preparing to leave for SEMA, and Barry was still able to get it out to me the same day that I ordered it!
I recieved it on thursday (3-day UPS'd it) and got it installed under the car. It fit like a glove! I had ball flanges on my headers with some short extension pipes. I cut the driver's side down to about 5 inches long, and the passenger side down to about 3 inches long and the slip-joints on the y-pipe fit right on over it perfectly. There's no bangs or rattles anywhere, and the ground clearance is great.
The only problem I ran into was ripping one of the band-clamps in half trying to tighten up one of the slip joints, but even without that clamp it still barely leaks, and I had planned on welding the joints up anyways, so it's all good.

why is that? I can pull the y-pipe down at will with all the band clamps tightened down on the y-pipe, so it'd make no difference if it were welded there.
I'm definately not talking about welding the y-pipe to the i-pipe. That would definately make it a pain.
