Default My VFN HOOD

Hey everybody i bought 3 weeks ago a sunoco style vfn fiberglss hood. On there site it said it was in stock and ships with in a week. When the people painting my car ordered it they told them it would ship in 3 to 4 weeks. They wasnt okay with me since the internet site said "in stock ships with in a week". I had the body shop call them and they told them that it had to be special made that they didnt have those in stock. My body guy asked then why did the internet site say that and she said because it sells product. Its been 3 weeks now and it still isnt at the body shop. So i called friday and told them that they are lieing to there customers and they should take that off it wasnt the truth and she told me not to worry about. that i woul get my hood when it came in. I just wanted to spread the word about VFN there service sucks and i still havent even got to see the quality of the hood and my car is suppose to be getting painted tuesday. I hope they see this and make some changes or theyll lose alot of customers.

thanks Jason

I'm sure VFN is definitely not going to lose customers because you've had a bad experience. I'm also sure that their lives don't revolve around updating their website. If you are going to question the quality of VFN compared to some other hood you could have bought than you need to get real. You will get your hood and your appt. can be rescheduled, relax.

This shouldn't even have been posted in the appearance section. We have a forum for complaints already. https://ls1tech.com/forums/ls1tech-sponsor-feedback-70/

i see where you're coming from, but thats how websites are sometimes, especially large sites that sell lots of things. sometimes they get backed up on certain items and don't always take the time to update the website.

Yep, completely wrong section. Maybe, just maybe, you should inspect the hood before it gets painted and installed on your car. Once it's painted it's yours.

I can't imagine why you would order a hood directly to the body shop, have them install and paint it, all without ever seeing the hood prior to the job. Doesn't that just scream, BAD IDEA?

I understand wrong section to post this. And yes I'm gonna inspect the hood before its prep for paint I'm not stupid. No fiberglass products are perfect and it will probably need work done to it to make it perfect.

Hi Guys.

As I explained to you in the last pm that you sent over...
Because we are a small company that has been crazy busy, we do not always have time to update our website.

But because of this reason, we are extremely adamant about informing every customer who orders a product from our company our current production times - PRIOR to even taking a name, phone number or money from the customer.

This is to ensure that our customers can make an informed decision in regards to waiting for our product if they can or wish to.

This order was placed on Aug. 18th - we do have a stamp that shows the promised production time that was given to the person who placed the order of 2-3 weeks.
This was stamped AFTER it was agreed to go ahead and proceed with the order.

Your hood shipped on Sept. 2nd - which put the item at a 2 week production time - from the date of order PRIOR to shipping.

We never state to our customers "don't worry about that" or put things on our website "just to sell items".. we would not remain in business for over 40 years with many happy customers doing so...and simply put. We do not operate our business in such a manner.
