I wanted to say a few words of praise for Steve's tune on my '98 SS. Prior to the tune, the car was running pretty good even with a de-screened MAF and the AIR/EGR deleted. It did have the usual LS shake at idle and would also gather a light layer of black crud in the exhaust tip every week or so. Since the tune these are the improvements I've seen:

1. Nice and clean exhaust tip after 2 weeks of driving.
2. Much improved idle, almost zero shake.
3. Stays a lot cooler in stop and go traffic with fans on earlier.
4. Makes a beautiful gurgle on deceleration, maybe my favorite change.
5. No more skip shift.
6. Noticeable improvement in gas mileage.
7. Will absolutely light-up the rear tires from a roll in first. It would smoke 'em before as well, but not like this.
8. Very hard acceleration, puts a smile on my face.


As far as my overall driving impression, the best analogy I can think of is a before and after comparison of a muscle car with a fresh tune-up.....or maybe even like stepping up the rear end gear from a 3.42 to 3.90 on a F-body.

Overall, I could not be happier with the results. It was fun to drive before, but now it's a blast.
