Default TEA customer service....

First, I'd like to make clear that this post is in no way meant to be taken as anything other than what it is. I just wanted to share my experience with fellow enthusiasts who value CS in as high a regard as flow #'s.....

I purchased a set of TEA 5.3L heads in November of '02 to replace a set of 5.7L heads from another very well known vendor/porter as I felt my #'s were below par given the combo at that time. I installed the heads and picked up ~ 22rwhp over & above the previous heads. An FMS tune got the baby cam(T1)/ lil' headed combo to 416/405. I was thrilled.

Well over one year, and many hard miles/passes later, my shortblock took a dump, taking w/it some valves. I sent the heads back to TEA and Brian fixed the heads charging me only for the upgraded springs(987 to 978). No cost to me for the valves/valve job, or setup labor. Again....I was thrilled. Now all I had to do was install my new LS6 shortblock.

Between the time the heads were shipped, and I recieved them, "something" happened. Upon opening the box, I saw they had been what I believed to be severely damaged to the point of needing to return them for repair(they basically looked as if they were thrown from Bubba's '77 Ford pickup truck onto the highway).

I called Brian, and arrangements were made to ship them back. Several days(not weeks/months)later, Brian contacted me to say that he would like to replace these heads for a NEW 5.3L casting w/the NEW CNC program/valvejob.

I hemmed and hawed....but eventually submitted.....

At this stage of the game w/the car obviousley not ready for the Thunder shootout, I decided to go with the "hand finished" job. Brian already had a large backlog of work he was trying to get out the door for other's, but "made time" for me in an effort to get my chit back up and running.

I installed the new heads two weeks ago, and have got to admit I can still feel the difference from the originals. An FMS tune will take place on the 26th, and will have dyno/track #'s for you guys. For the relatively "smallish" cam(FMS F11)I think me gots a beast.

In closeing, I like to say Thank You to TEA for the best CS I've ever experienced from any vendor!

On a side note, TEA should appreciate the fact that it took Mike well over 6 1/2 hrs to type that essay

TEA does provide kick-*** service, and allthough i went with the new pp stage2 ls-6 style race heads , when i called TEA i didnt get to talk to anyone for 2 days..so i decided not to call back, but that evening i got a call from those guys at 9:00pm and he was more than willing to talk until all of my questions were answered, now i know those guys are busy...and im basically nobody from brevard county fl. but they without a doubt try to give the highest level of service...i run a business myself and i get slammed sometimes.... and i dont even call people back on my own time in the evenings, so theres no doubt..TEA is dedicated
