Appologies to customers whom have ordered March LS1 pulleys from Thunder Racing
I wish to appologize to all of the customers whom have ordered the March Performance Camaro/Firebird LS1 underdrive crank pulleys from the great crew at Thunder Racing. It has been a long wait for these pieces to hit the market, as we at March Performance have done a great deal in research and development into these fluid based dampener pulleys. Thunder Racing has had 100 of these parts on order with us since July of 2003 so please do not think that Thunder is the hold up, the hold up is directly at the source. We at March have been expieriencing technical difficulties, these matters are being resolved as quickly as possible and all pulleys will reach thier destination in a timely manner. We appologize for any inconvience this may have caused you, any questions may be directed to Phil at March Performance.
Thank you for your patience

Ok,
Why does one vendor, SDPC, have them in stock, & are close to
ordering another batch..
A) Because SDPC ordered before Thunder ?
B) Because Thunder found problems with there batch. Fitment issues
we were told ?
C) Roll of the dice ?
D) Since Thunder rejected there batch, SDPC got the rejects ?
E) None of the above, none of our business ?
Just thinking out loud...
Dave

My 2 cents
Dave, To answer your questions:
A) Because SDPC ordered before Thunder ?
NO, Thunder Racing was the first company to place an order for these pullies from March back in June of last year. We had been trying to get March to make an LS1 pulley for years, but they never seemed interested until we committed to purchase their entire initial production run of 100 units.
B) Because Thunder found problems with there batch. Fitment issues
we were told ?
The first batch of 100 pullies arrived at our shop in January. We opened one up and attemped to install it on one of our shop cars. We immediately discovered a fit issue with the pullies and spend several days of our own shop time testing, taking measurements and conversing with March on where they had a problem with this piece. March arranged for pickup of the entire pallet load of pullies and assured us that the problem would be fixed and we would have our batch of pullies returned.
C) Roll of the dice ?
YES. Unfortunately, what Phil does not explain in his post above is that someone at March royally screwed up by accidentily shipping the pulleys that were supposed to go back to us to several of their other customers. We did receive a few pullies as well, but those went to fill our oldest backorders and unfortunately did not nearly satisfy our order. March even told us that they would send a call tag to pick up the pulleys that they mistakenly shipped out, but I found it quite amusing that they thought anyone would "give them up" once they had them in their hands. The only reason that Phil posted here is that I insisted on it. I am extremely furious at this entire situation, but there is not much I can do about it other that wait for them to finish another batch and hopefully ship them to the correct place this time.
D) Since Thunder rejected there batch, SDPC got the rejects ?
No, These are a new batch and the fit issues have been corrected.
E) None of the above, none of our business ?p
Just trying to keep you guys informed
Angie

Angie, thanks for stepping up to the plate.
Your'e just way too cool...
Good thing that I don't live down there, I'd be broke
all the time...
I'm an impulse buyer that suffers from 'buyers remorse'...
So, after I made the buy from SDPC, I did some research & starting
having 2nd thoughts.
I saw that Thunder still had them on back order ?
And I read a thread about Thunders discovery on fitment.
So I was thinking that March took your pulleys back &
sent them to SDPC
Something just didn't add up...
With Thunder making this pulley happen, March should've
given Thunder at least a year of marketing rights...
I hope March does right with you guys...

Summit has them in stock for $195. I just got mine today!
Alot of their parts are not listed. You have to know the company prefix and the part number. Put it in the search window and it will come up. For the March Pulley type in "MCH-4521" I order a bunch of parts from them that way.

Interesteing you should say March should have given Thunder rights to the pulleys for a year, I actually tried to get the owners of company to do that after Angie and Jeff placed the first order back in June of last year unfortunetely for me they would not fly with it because of all the political BS that it would have caused with other companys. That would have been great if it would have, i would been able to do my cam and heads along time ago, sorry for your inconvienance.

I have recieved word that Thunder's pulleys are on the way back from my Laser Welder and should be recieved via truck freight at March by April 19th. Once packaged we will ship these parts to Angie and Thunder ASAP.
