Speed Inc has been fair to me but there are two issues here that the customer is correct on. First being, it is not that hard to pick up the phone and notify him the part is on backorder. Second, Speed Inc should review thier credit card policy because you should not charge a customers account until after the product has shipped. You can get an authorization code to secure the funds at the point of sale and then settle when the product has shipped. This is what most credit card companies require.

Well, as a small shop we sometime need support from the more established larger companies and Speed Inc. is one of the ones we work with. They have always been great IMHO. Unfortunately with this industry "****" happens that is really no ones fault.
Tom Izzo(Speed Inc.) did the credit and made amends.
TransAm52804 apologized, it takes a man to say I was wrong (again IMO).
Not getting parts when you need them is frustrating.
We as vendors------>
do our absolute best to meet the customers needs and believe me we like it even less than the customer when things go wrong.
