I Think Summit Lost a Customer Today
Update. Called them today and had a completely different experience. Got it all sorted out and was very easy. My faith in Summit has been restored.
Yes, I know Summit wont even miss me and I know this is a rant; I typically cringe when I see someone post these, but I'm honestly dumbfounded right now.
Called @Summitracing to see about warrantying lifters and after an in-depth convo with a guy in tech, he agreed this was a warranty issue. So he forwards me to someone in sales and tells them to get me a new set on the way. I'm thinking, man this is why I shop Summit, they are so easy to deal with.
So anyway, the sales lady started asking me the same questions as the tech guy and after going through everything again I was told they wouldnt honor the warranty because I didnt run it at 2k for 20 minutes (something the tech guy didnt even ask about). I told her that was for flat tappet lifters and she said it didnt specify which type of lifters and all they could do was a discount.
