Default Screwed again
Well here I am in a F'ed up situatoin again! seems like everytime I try to do something to the car, I either get a bad or incorrect part shipped ot me.

I have the car apart putting in the F13 and I had a set of patriot golds sent 2 day air so that I could have them intime.

Well they finally got here a day late and guess what. Steel retainers even though I ordered and the receipt says titanium!


Some times you just wanna scream F#C%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Guess ill call the shop and hope they will overnight me a set of Ti ones tomorrow.

How do you know they're steel vs Ti?

Stupid question, but just wanted to clarify the difference.

there magnetic! and they weigh a ton (comparativly).

I used to do alot of hermetic welding and I know Titanium, it looks, feels and weighs different than steel, about 44% lighter to be exact.

Thats f#cked up man. I'd definitely have them overnite a set to you, and foot all related shipping costs, including return shipment for the steel set.

ti. almost has a blue tint to it as well, as compared to steel.

Ya dog! TIG Welding Titanium in a Hermetic chamber w/ Hydrogen makes the Ti all pinkand blue and colorful. Its pretty cool looking.

I have had nothing but bad luck ordering parts for the SS. 50% of the time theres an issue with something, only this time my **** is all apart in the garage.

Oh well so much for Camaro -vs- Mustange day Next Saturday @ 75&80. Hope I can get this thing back together intime to go............

yeah I am sure they will swap them for me, it just a matter of how long will it take. I just cant wait to fire this thing up with that F13. I have been wanting to install it for months now. I guess I shoudl have just waited and gotten the springs from FUTRAL as well. Every thing they shipped me was right on the money.

I spoke with Patrick this morning, and explained that our Patriot Gold spring kit comes with ti retainers and super 7 steel locks...as always.
We do not even have steel retainers for the LS series. Sorry for any confusion,Patrick.

No sweat guys, thanks for setting me straight. I was a bit nervous.
Cant wait to get these things on. they look top quality and I like the insurance of the ouble spring on such a cam.
