Does PPO exist or is it just a coverup?
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDICULOUS!

I have bought some parts from them and got good service. However, I occasionally had trouble getting them on the phone.
However, I never received the shanks to install the wheels, and there are supposedly on back order from Mcgard/summit for over a month now. I have been unable to get an update from them since they seem to be closed now...very frustrating

Up front I have new brake pads (ditching my Performance Frictions and going with Raybestos Quiet-Stops for the dusting), and need a 5/16" spacer there too.
So, the claim of "no grinding, no spacers" that was touted PPO turned out to be bunk in my case.
They do look nice, tho.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Thanks for your interest in Performance Parts Outlet, Inc.
PPO has closed but is not gone. We are currently restructuring the organization in an attempt to bring you greater customer service and improved pricing and product lines.
Any orders already placed are being processed and any backordered parts will be shipped as soon as they arrive. Unfortunately, we are not taking any new orders until we reopen.
The new PPO will have a new and interactive web site along with custom products that no one else has to offer! Stay tuned for more details and we apologize for any trouble that time may have caused.
Best regards,
PPO Staff~
When I talked to Steve on the phone, before I paid for the 9" he seemed like a "customer first" kind of guy, and very helpful. I just think they chould at least return phone calls from their customers. They are really screwing it up for the new owners.
Just my .02

I know switching owners and etc can be a rough time so maybe there is more to the story. Hopefully all will be changed over soon and all the issues will be resolved
I have worked with them in the past. They are an authorized dealer of products that I designed, some which ran under their ppo name and some under my company name. *S.J.M. Manufacturing and Design.*

If you can't get in touch with PPO, you can contact me directly at my email address z28freak@hotmail.com. I can help you out with any particulars you may have.
Regarding the bogarts fitment. All should fit fine if your running stock style brake pads. I have not heard to date anyone having problems with rears fitting (until now). Some people had to touch up flashing on the front rotors.
I am the person whom personally worked with bogart and fitted these to our cars. There can be tolorance differences in the manufacturing process that might change fitment. Overall, bogarts fit perfect and are the best choice in rims.
If anyone needs assistance with ordering these since PPO is temporarily unavailable, feel free to call or email me personally.

YOU (with PPO) sold me the 9" under my car about 6 months ago. I have left several messages TO YOU on an answering machine that bares YOUR VOICE. Why have you not returned any of my calls???

"I have worked with them in the past. They are an authorized dealer of products that I designed"
"I am the person whom personally worked with bogart and fitted these to our cars"
It seems kind of funny that these are the EXACT words that were said to me about Bogarts when I talked with Steve from "PPO." How many of you named Steve worked on designing these for our cars????? When I read your post, it immediately made me realize who you were. I understand that you do not want to hurt YOUR business by admitting you were who I spoke with. By the way, nice litle "plug" about YOUR business in this post.
I really don't care if you are or not, because I have decided to let Moser know what kind of people run PPO and I am now having to deal directly through them. I will also be sure to let everyone I can know what kind of people worked for PPO. I feel sorry for the new owners, maybe they will be able to put some quality back in the PPO name.
Kevin
Your blowing this all out of proportion. I do NOT work for PPO nor have I EVER got paid for helping out PPO. I'm not trying to create an arguement with you. I have helped him out before for a short time on the phones (As I stated mentioning "I have worked with them in the past" which you also paraphrased.
I took your order only. I do not know what transpired with moser and you and PPO since I was briefly helping out with the phones ONLY. I remember you stating that you had problems with your rear but that was the last I heard (from you.
I am not trying to plug my business, I've been helping f-body guys out with custom parts for over 7 years. I believe my reputation has been established. As you stated previously, I am a "customer first kind of guy". This is why you got such an awsome price that NO one touched. In addition, I believe your rear was delievered within a week. PPO has been offering great prices and customer service to everyone for years. I believe your situation was just bad timing since his business was going through changes.
I spoke with John today about your situation and he is looking into the transaction. You should have everything resolved if there is money owed.
As for myself, I don't appreciate your manorism as I have done nothing but tried to help you out first when you bought the rear giving you advice and second now while I happen to stumble upon this post. I would hope that you realize I am not your enemy.
You have never purchased anything from me nor have you ever dealt with my business. I would hope that you would not spread false acusations of myself personally being a poor business person or my business. IF you did, you would be the first person stating this.
I am not PPO, the owner of PPO is John Gobbels. My phone number is 412 881-8288. I do not own PPO nor do I have access to their billing statements. If you called my number, I could not help you with resolving your transaction. I do not know of any calls from you on my phone.
I do know that John is a great guy to work with and is not going to try to take someones money. He would never do that to anyone.
He has been going through a reorganization and may have missed your transaction. I am sure he will resolve your situation for you. If he owe's you money, he will definitly reimburse you...I'm not aware of the whole situation.
I talk to him frequently and will make him aware of your situation and I'm sure it will be corrected.
I am not putting down YOUR business, but I know that I called PPO several times over about a three week period and you were the only one that EVER answered the phone. I am not trying to make you personally look bad, but it is obvious that you worked for PPO for more than a "brief" period. Your voice is also on the voice message explaining that PPO is currently closed.
I was just wanting you to explain why my messages were never answered. I DO NOT want anyone from PPO handling this affair with Moser. They have agreed to reimburse my shipping directly, and have already cancelled the check that was sent to PPO.
By the way, just to set the record straight, you did give me excellent service (for PPO) when I purchased the rear. I just wish you had told me that they were about to close. It wasn't too long before they closed that YOU told me that you would refund my money for the rear if I was not happy (because it was roaring so loud.)
No hard feelings,
Kevin
