GMPartsDirect.com Question Anyone ever get a "special ordered" for the status?

Does this mean its going to take 6 months before I receive my wheels?

I had to order some AC parts a few years back (broke a line doing my cam install) and it was special order... took about 3 weeks to get it
I've been going through SDPC for the past year though and have had great luck...

I've had special ordered stuff take a couple of weeks to get here, and sometimes longer. ordered new front marker lights in march, got special ordered, and it took almost 4 weeks to the day, but they did show up. I just find it irritating that they don't tell you before you order, (or if they do, I have never noticed)

I also was wondering the same thing my parts have been special ordered for two weeks already and still waiting.

Ya know, I tend to wonder why people deal with GMPartsDirect.com - when you can pick up a phone and give Kris at SDPC a shout, and check on things anytime you need to. No wondering about anything there...

Just got an email from them, said they have to order it from GM so it will be 7-10 days to ship if there are no problems.. HMMM they must get a lot of problems? We shall see...
well i ordered my oil pump one week and 2 days ago, still hasnt shipped out, they told me 2 weeks ago it would ship beginning next week, last week they said this week it would ship at the beginning, still nothing. no email responses any more from them when i ask why i was told different dates and never got it, this is absolutely rediculous, last time they get my buisness, should have went SDPC
