LPE and Billingsley rock! This board has lots of horror stories, but I would like to offer a couple of kudos to a couple of sponsors.
Seems that someone got distracted and didn't tighten the bolts that attach the right rear rotor to the hat on my new Aerospace brakes. The protruding bolts machined the caliper mount bracket in half. I called Jay yesterday afternoon and FedEx just delivered two new brackets for a hell of a lot less than I could have gotten one made locally, even if there was time before BG.
That, folks, is some kind of service!!!
After a winter's work, my new motor went away on the third pass with BG 2 weeks away. I phoned around for a short block in reasonable distance but the lead time was more than 2 weeks. However, Ed told me to bring the pile down and they would see what they could salvage and get me to BG. The block was the only thing slavageable from the short block, but six days after I dropped the short block off, I am picking up an assembled engine with better cam and 30 CFM more head flow from the same heads (lost a couple of valves when the lower end went away). I am stunned at the service and help they have given me to help get me to BG. I can't say enough good about LPE!!
