Default Problems with LGM

I had an open track event on the 19th and wanted oil cooler before I went.
So I order the LG oil cooler adapter for $100 on the 11th. rep tells me it needs this adapter:
-10 x 1/2" NPT Male Connector

So I order all my oil cooler stuff from good internet race shop since LG doesn't sell all the fittings and lines.
I get the stuff and the connectors are too big. That was on the 16th.
So I call on the 17th to get right size. Sean tells me he's sorry…they changed thread, and its now (A) -10 / (B) -10 AN O-Ring Boss.
I said can you go to website where I order this stuff and find the right one. He does and gives me part number.
So I have this new fitting (2 of them) overnighted so I can get them and finish install on the 18th and race on the 19th.
So I get the adapters, and still they are wrong!!!
Now I'm screwed, well not totally, but I can't use an oil cooler for race day.
So I call LG and speak to lou and he says "sorry, you should have asked for me."
Thanks a lot.

So race weekend is over and I call LG again and ask them to tell me right size. Bobby says he will find out. He calls me back and says its:
-8 O-Ring to -10 AN Male x Male
I asked if he could verify and he said not at this time. So he called me back next day and said he verified and he can sell me two of them right now for $20 each and he'll pay for shipping. He said normal price was $30 each.
I said jegs is $13 each, so its cheaper for me to get it from there.
I said I was hoping you would do more for me since I got bad info from you twice and I have wasted $50 on parts and shipping (overnight).
He said his manufacturer changed the thread without telling him, and he's sorry but that’s all he can do.

Seems like someone needs to learn what they are selling... Not to mention if Jegs is cheaper, and Jegs sells everything pretty much over retail then you can still find it cheaper.. Good luck though!!

actually, in most cases, jegs sells products for about $2 more than private companies can get them for. It's hard to compete with Summit and Jegs and their low-ball prices. They have a far larger buy in discount because they buy hundreds if not thousands of a particular product at a time.

Louis contacted me and we're working something out. will keep you posted.
He also said he'll make the oil cooler adapter into a "kit" so people will get the right parts the first time.
