Could have been BAD!!
So i tow my car down and i'm finally gonna see what the new motor can do. Now keep in mind this motor has about 45min of running time so Matt @ TTP starts to tune 1st for idle when he see's it has a code for a MAP sensor so we replace that but it still has a code
{I will diag that later} Then it will not respond well so he drills the TB plate out some more and alittle more tunning and now it idle's
next he see's no movment for my front O2's so we lift the car and let's me borrow a set of extension for the O2's so we can get a tune. O2 problem solved
next it's time to see what this thing can do
Matt ask's if i would like him to do a couple 4000-5000rpm runs on the dyno before we turn it loose so i say allright and i am about to finally see some #'s after months of planning, waiting and dreaming then all of a sudden smoke starts comming off the motor and i felt like
so Matt shuts it down and we start looking for the problem but we can't see where it started from and of coarse i know it has to be bad, then after searching for awhile i see it!! It is comming from my valve cover where i had to grind the inside of the Valve covers so my Jessels would fit. When grinding i must have gone to thin were the coil braket bolts go ond it is pushing oil out there
So i left the car at TTP and i will get new valve covers sent to them as well as TTP getting me valve cover spacers and new O2 extentions then the tune will be finished later in the week
I would like to thank Mike and Matt @ TTP for getting me in with little notice and to Matt for spending all saturday afternoon working with my car and allowing me to take awhile looking for the Dam oil leak. This was my first dealings with TTP and so far it has been a good choice and i would recommend them to anyone
At this point i guess 1 more week won't kill me
Hang in there.
