Talking Thanks EFI Live!

Just wanted to say thanks for a kick-*** product. Made it to the track for their last day of the year test & tune and clicked off my 1st and 2nd 12-second-pass ever. My previous best was 13.24 @ 105.3mph, but after this weekend I ran two 12.99's @ 107.2mph. The only changes were the tune of course, !cats, and maybe slightly better weather. So, thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to posts and help me learn.....another satisfied customer to add to the list.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but I am curious as to how much different the weather was... It is entirely possible you picked up power with the tune, but I am wondering how much weather played a role as well.

My original best was at the beginning of the year. I'll have to dig up the slips to get actual numbers, but I'm pretty sure I remember it being cool out back in April. Of course, as things warmed up this summer, I was running slower (13.3x~13.5x). I doubt there was more than a 10* difference between the 2 bests.

I do run the MAF, which I'm concerned about now becuase I made the passes without the filter (like I did the first time). But, on the way home I noticed my fuel trims going a little nuts. So, I'm hoping I didn't scoop up a bug with the SSRA and splatter its guts all over the screen/wires. We'll see....might have to go SD afterall.

you should go to a 3.73 gear and you would gain...well lose a good bit of ET. I have ran a best of a 13.0 w/2.1 60ft and trapped 110mph with a 6spd 3.42gear

I want 3.73's and a good launch...12's are coming soon

Yeah...I think my 1.9x 60-foot is telling me I need gears and a stall. The !cats probably moved my peak torque curve up a few hundred rpms. Otherwise, I would have expected 1.8x 60-foots. I do a lot of highway driving though. So, stall first...then maybe gears.
