Thumbs down Texas Speed sucks

I ordered pacesetter LT's, ORY, and exentions and got them, but the headers didnt have no gaskets, egr block off plate or screws for it. I just got the headers and directions and that was it. I called them twice and they have told me they would send me an egr block off plate with screws and still havent got it in over 2 weeks. Im only two states over so it should take that long. I had to custom fab a egr plate for the mean time which in no means is perfect and some exhaust it seeping out from it.

The gaskets, block-offs, ect. all come in the header box from Pacesetter. We don't ever open the boxes unless we put extensions in the box. We ASSUME that Pacesetter has included the parts. We have checked on your EGR block-off but Pacesetter only has the AIR block-offs which will NOT fit! I have talked with Fred at Pacesetter and updated me on this situation and said they are making EGR block-offs. I'll just pull them out of another box for you. As for the headers gaskets, I would not run them! As we discussed on the phone, the paper gaskets will eventually burn up and begin to leak. We always recommend to our customers to reuse your factory gaskets or purchase new GM gaskets. If you have any other questions, please call or PM one of us.

I dont understand why they would do this. On your site I selected the headers for my specific year. While my 01 doesnt have the EGR, a lot of people are screwed because they dont have any plate to cover the EGR. As for the gaskets, Im not that worried about because the stock ones is better. The thing that makes me mad is that you guys told me that you were going to send me the EGR block off plate with screws and I was in a bind at the time, and i still havent recieved the plate (its been over 2 weeks).

It was a mistake on Pacesetter's part. Fred said they made more AIR block-off plates instead of EGR. I can't send you something that we don't have. As soon as we were able to get ahold of some we would send them to you. I have been waiting for our Pacesetter order for over a month! We recieved our order on friday. I will pull them out of another header box and send them to you. This is the only option I have available at this time.

Use the tri-metals that GM makes instead of the paper gaskets.
Ive seen cars start to leak with as little as 1200 miles.

Its not hard to make your own block off plates

Ive delt with TSP and have had no problems with them

No problems here either. Hell i have a huge *** thread about 4 down from this about TSP and a few other sponsors.

If you're in THAT big of a bind, order a block off plate from another site. I understand you shouldn't have to do that but if your car needs it, then your car needs it. Sponsors can't always help mistakes on the supplier's behalf. Its how they remedy thats important.

No kidding, I got my first header leak exactly 19 miles after I installed the headers. Never again have I used header gaskets.

I am sure Texas Speed will straighten things out as quickly as possible.
I understand how hard it is to ship something you dont have.

it sucks that you're having problems with this bro however; take a deep breath and have a little patience, the guys at TSP will take care of it.

i myself had little issues but in the end they came through like they said. hang in there and you'll have your car running the way you want it soon enough.

FYI-the post above
the little issues were due to shipping on my LT's. called and was told they were on back order, no problem just took a little longer than expected.

the second issue was really my fault, i had scheduled a dyno tune and completely forgot that there was a time difference (i drove) from where i live. i got there just about when they were fixin to close shop and they didn't hesitate to tune my car anyway.

like i said no big issues but just the fact that they didn't mind staying a little late for an out-of-town customer showed a lot about their customer service.

thanks again guys!!
