Can you READ!!! I have acknowledged that UPS is responsible for the wet box!!!! However, it should not have taken QTP three month to send me my set of headers especially since they shipped header to others who placed orders after me. PLEASE READ MY POST ACCURATELY!!

Doesn't sound like QTP has poor customer service. It sounds like your just a poor customer. They were up front, and said to expect delays until they can catch up with there orders. They are definatly not the only company with delays. ET has many delays themselves just to use as one example. I finally recieved my order just in time for the gas shortage. There are already stations in Jersey that are out of gas. Maybe I'll bolt a set of headers to my Schwinn 10 speed. Hope you enjoy those headers now that you FINALLY recieved them, and do yourself a favor and let it rest!

B.S. They did not say to expect delays until recently. Moreover, they outright lied about it as well. I was given various date for delivery that came and went. Perhaps your expections of customer service are low. That make you the poor customer. If SLP had done something like this the criticism would be non-ending.

Im with ya SSdude, 3 months is entirely too long to get a product out. If a business can not keep up with the demand then they need to stop taking orders. Just because a company makes a good product does not justify such a long wait. Bad business practices.

First let me say this. We have been busting our asses for the past 4 months making these headers. Trying to make the best header out there more affordable. And we did it. These headers are not somthing you can slap together. The merge collectors take as much time to make as the rest of the header. If anyone thinks 3 months is to long for headers, then guess you do not realize this is the busiest part of the season and we try out best to have inventory. But we introduced the new pricing of the HVMC and took us off gard. By the time we turned around on the first batch it was gone and we had to build another batch. And we are not going to rush them out and make a lesser header.

SSdude
Let me correct you on a couple of things. You where informed of the time frame. Told it would be finished around last week of march/First week of april. We were off by a week. We started shipping the end of the first week of april. And we did not choose to ship orders before yours and i assume you got emissions style. Race styles goes out first because the header is done. We are not going to hold back order and not ship them out because of who placed what and when. Its been very crazy trying to get these headers finsihed.
About our customer service. First we did not bill your credit card until we shipped it out. We wold everyone about the time frames and target dates. Ask anyone we are hear to help and do what we can if there is problem.

Since all i see is you complaining about is our customer service, thewet box and 3 months , i am going to do something i never had done before and i apoligize to others if i come off harsh but i cant take this any more.

I dont want you as a customer!!

Call us and give us your name and we sill send a call tag for your order and we will refund you all your money. When all you are going to do is bashing us. Simple as that. Send them back or give it a rest.

Ummm, WOW! Maybe you should reread your post and at least change out the part about him complaining about your customer service, waiting 3 months and getting a water logged box (which is Ups's fault). Which you dont deny! Makes me want to run right out and get some headers.

You apologize for coming off harsh. I read in hear alot and I think this is one of the worst sponser post I've ever seen, or it's right up there. I like alot of your products (minus the cutouts) and was wanting to swap my headers to yours, but this just makes me .
I was waiting for the wait times to be cut down before I ordered. I guess I wont be waiting at all now. I apoligize for seeming harsh!

The vendors are terrified to tell customers the truth... they feel like if they tell them that it will be 2+ months that they will cancel and order from a competitor. They might. So instead, you get this, next week, next week, it just shipped, no wait; next week B.S.

It's not like QTP is exclusive to this; I've gotten this treatment from 4 sponsors as of late and it pisses me off too.

Well, I for one like Barry's statement. I know I've been on the waiting end of things, and yeah, it sucks. That's cars, and it happens. The more parts you order, the longer you wait. Heck, I'm waiting on main studs that I ordered in early March, that have been "supposed to ship next week" since the end of March. Last Friday it was 4/26/06, checking today it's 5/03/06... Just great.

Anyhow, you came on here and acted like Barry personally peed on your box, and the box was entirely his fault. Yeah, you later ack that it wasn't his fault, but your first post sure makes him out to be a box-wetter.

Then you continue to bash. How's he supposed to feel? You know headers don't grow on trees to be plucked when they're ripe.

You want Wal Mart service, go get Wal Mart headers.

Disclaimer - I have never done business with Barry, never even talked to him, but I know that there are MANY MANY small business owners around here who would LOVE to have posted exactly what he said!

It's race season guys, what do you expect. I'm still waiting for my car to be done at the shop but it's expected because of what time of year we are in. Patience is a virtue.

Good job Barry. When I finally order headers it will be your brand, and I won't mind waiting for them.

Are you guys serious? When I bought my rims years ago, I was told 10 to 12 weeks. I didnt mind because I was told up front how long it would take. If he feels that away about his customers then tell them up front that you might have to wait 3+ months and I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem. Then people would have the option to wait or not.

I know there's two sides to every story. If indeed I was being told next week, next week, next week, and people were getting theirs before me I would be furious and just cancel my order. Then again, now I see that is how Barry wants it, so why even bother.

I was given three different days for delivery and none of the dates were met. Your statement speaks for itself regarding customers service. By the way, this is America and not **** Germany. Therefore, I am entitle to freedom of speeh. Stop taking orders from customers if you cannot fill them.

I'll start by Barry and myself don't really get along but I agree with what he's saying --not saying the customer is wrong in anyway.
It sucks being a sponsor because you have to watch your back and try to make everyone happy. At any time you can get bashed and the word spreads very quickly. Barry is just being straight up as a person which sponsor's are.
If the customer is this unhappy just take Barry up on his offer and be done with it

The purpose of this thread was to voice my frustration about having to wait three months for my headers. I was given three different delivery dates over a three month period and none to the dates were met. My motive in starting this thread was also to get the attention of QTP so that what happened to me would not happen to other board members. I believe that this thread has been a success. Representatives from QTP are beginning to post more often and inform customers about what is going on. The purpose of this thread was not to hurt QTP's business. QTP obviously makes a superior header. However, it should not take three months to fill an order.

I have dealt with various vendors on this board and memers of the LS community. Some have a reputation for poor customer service. However, I have never had any problems with them. I have dealt with SLP and have had no problems. I have dealt with TTS which has a horrible reputation. However, I have found their customer service to be excellent and found Steve Cole to be very attentive. He took the time to answer my questions and phone calls. It also took three month for me to get my underdrive pulley from ASP. However, ASP stayed in touch with me and kept me informed about their production problems.

I offer the follow suggetion to QTP as a means of avoiding problems in the future:

1. stop taking order that you cannot fill in a timely manner

2. if a customer insist that you take his order inform the customer that there will be a six month waiting period. This good will can be maintained.

3. Use Tony Mamo as a role model for customer relations. Interact more with board members so that you can keep us informed about success and setbacks.

4. redesign you Y-pipe. A number of people have had problems with it.

5. if a customer ranks, let him. Take the high ground. People often get frustrated if that have to wait a long time. You may eventually win the customer over with patience especially if you product works out will for him.

This is the last post that I will be making in this thread. I do not regret what I have said and feel that this thread has served a useful purpose.

Good luck.
