I 've always liked MTI mainly cause of the muscle car spirit that is in most of their products like their full model GTO 455 "super duty" that really sounds awsome

Both shops are good. The current Engine builder at MTI used to work for HPE while I was there for 2 yrs. His reputation is very good and as Erik stated, he is a good builder tought by the best. Erik, HKE Enterprises, is also a very very good builder, one of the best I'd say in the area, not only LS1 related but SBC and Ford also. Erik and Cam (MTI) not only designed my engine, but also my friends Fun Ford Weekend Street Renegade engine that ran 7.80's, which is at the top of the class. You can't go wrong with MTI or HKE to build your engine, MTI specializes in LSX motors while HKE also specialized in other style race engines.
