The Truth About Hi Flo Turbo
Smearin,
You have to chill about all the people taking cracks at Bill or Hi Flo. I believe that ADHD is rampant in our countries, and that these shots will serve their purpose to people who do not want to read all the 500 plus posts.
There has been nothing but lies and deciet from Hi Flo and its OWNWER Marko since the inception of their bold promises. I will keep posting to ensure that this does not happen to any other F-Body enthusiasts. However, I can appreciate your posts in hope to receive your stuff.
But this aside, lets keep the F-Body community alert about the type of business Hi-Flo aka Marko has been conducting. If people had alerted you about their business practices, this would have saved you a pile of headaches and maybe even downtime.
Smearin, this is not a shot against you, just trying to help out my fellow F-Body enthusiasts.

sometimes I have gotten that message up until the day of delivery. You could always call ups and see whats up.
I have been reading about Hi-Flos troubles for awhile now. As much as it sucks to have delays I can say that Bill and Marko really care about quality, to a fault actually.
I was the first fabricator brought in to help develop the ls1 kit. I advised Marko to ditch the tubular headers and go with logs. He wanted nothing to do with it, so I spent week after week trying to find a way to route the drivers side header without hitting the frame, while still allowing room to route plug wires and the downpipe. I made the mistake of trying to mock up with schedule 10 stainless pipe and fittings. The thickness of the pipes made the fitment issues worse than then needed to be. After weeks of messing around I finally got 3 of the tubes routed, I showed Marko the progress on the mock up motor that was on an engine stand. He looked at it and handed me a valve cover spacer. Of course with the spacer the tubes had no chance of working.
He said that he would not screw over the guys who wanted to run roller rockers. Back to the drawing board we went. I went round after round with that damn header until I left the shop for a better opportunity. That certainly didn't help with the time line.
For the guys who say their C5 kit is a copy... Its just not true at all. I didnt have my hands in it, but I watched as Bill laid out the turbos and routed pipe.
The only inspiration was someone in the shop mentioned that they heard of a kit that put the turbos in the fenders.
Marko has an obsession with quality the likes of which I have never seen before. Part of the delay is because of that i'm sure.
I look forward to the day that all of this is forgotten and people are running around the streets with Hi-Flo kits.
Bill or Marko, if you ever need a hand around the shop dont hesitate to give me a call, i'm real busy with work and my family but I would make time for you guys.

On another note, WTF kind of tracking number is he giving out? I tried Fedex, UPS, USPS, and DHL and nothing worked.
whenever i have run a tracking number (which i do 100s of times a week at work) i always get the default, "we have recieved teh hsipper information but it does not mean it has been picked up"............. never a bad tracking number...... bill could at least try to explain what has happened, if he dosent i could alwasy cancel my CC charge which i dont want to do in the least bit

Look through the past bs threads/posts about piece of crap venders. I don't know you from a hole in the ground, alas there was always people like you bandwagoning about how great said vendor was.
Your tired of bandwagoners and wisecracks from people that are not direct customers, don't read the thread. You ever think that some of these people have been burnt by past vendors? Then all of a sudden it's like, great here we go again! Oh well, you have the 1st kit right!
I'm sure it's makes people feel great that you were the first kit, are dyno'd and tuned. Especially the ones that have been lied and lied and lied to for almost a year. Meh, atleast your out enjoying your car.
From a bandwagoner standing on the sidelines I trully hope things work out. I've been burnt as well as a couple of my buddies and it's horrific for all involved. Especially in the internet world.
A great vendor now a days comes to mind. Look at all the plauges with Patriot Performance. All the bs they endured. But they stuck with the game and are now one of the top sponsors and have some of the greatest customer service in the game. Way to go Gunnar and PP!
I really truley hope that Hi-Flow will come through this with lessons learned. That they also will raise to the top of the game with affordable turbos. Maybe Hi-flow will earn a
and rub all the **** talking into peoples faces like PP. Last edited by WhiteRhino; Jul 28, 2006 at 01:11 AM. Reason: spelling
