Mine is all one piece, i dont know what the bolt is tough.

Yes well a full billet base is no comparison to a welded base, now is it.

Fuddle also manufacture converters with full billet bases that look even better than that pic, but you pay for it. I agree those welds look dubious, but you cannot compare that converter pictured above to the one in question. One costs twice as much and there are things you expect when paying double the money.

Anything with a full billet base like that will cost minimum of $600. Keep things in perspective. Then again, this is the internet...

i got my fuddle in a week and man i can't complain on bit i love it

but those welds don't look to hot

I just looked at mine and the welds aren't the best I've seen but look alot better than the ones posted. I have a vette converter which has the pads you have and a rig that goes around connecting welded to the pads. I have double the welds you have and won't hesitate to put the converter in. I think I would send mine back if the welds looked like yours.

How do ya go about sending a tc back if you can't get a hold of anyone there to see if they will stand be hind it? They might say it's ok to run and send it back in the off season.

I dont have any pics of mine, but I remember the welds looking A LOT better than that. The welds were the first thing I inspected.

i ordered mine 2 1/2 weeks ago and i havent heard from them at all. many phone calls, messages and e-mails without response. im really hoping when i get mine the welds dont look like that cuz i cant afford to be out of my car any longer than i already have. i've had everything else for my trans swap for a week or so except the converter

Just got my 3500 2.5 today. Welds look great, and it took about 10 business days to get.....now for the install and the break in. Any recommendations on tranny fluid? Ron

^^^Any dextron III tranny fluid is fine, I use castrol.

If you have the same convertor, could you post pics as well. So they can be compared to the original posters. Mine is like Speed Density's so I'm not worried about it. I just wanted to see the difference in the welds of the street convertors.

who has actually talked to fuddle in the past week? im getting really frustrated with the communication. after how many times i've called, e mailed, and pm's i should have recieved a response from someone there
