rock-on makes headlines again!!! well i guess you can add me to the list of people with alot of money invested in rock-on and nothing to show for it.
rock-on got money off my card on 3/31/06, $2281 including shipping and a core charge. i got the trans 7/10/06. took me a few weeks to get ready for the install. (this is the part that is my fault) i broke the pump on the install, newb mistake, sent the trans AND my core (since i already had it out) on 8/24/06. The core actually got lost in the process.
so i did have the trans for a month after the 3 months i had initially waited. but ever since 8/24/06 i have been out of a car and every time i talk to rock-on they are real nice, i even have a voicemail AMY left me saying my trans would be shipping by the end of the week and that my core was found but this message was sent on 9/7/06. now i cant ever get anyone on the phone and when i do, they are either out to lunch or they have to call me back to get my tracking number, it doesnt take more than 5 days for freight from texas under normal circumstances.
what do i do now? technically i cant get a refund because i did break the transmission. but at the moment i have no transmission, they have the one they built AND the core, i never recieved a core refund which i assumed was put towards repairs on the other transmission, but i am empty handed right now.
I call several times a day, and lately their phones have been going straight to voicemail. i just recently bought a used trans locally so my car can get put back together because i doubt i will hear from rock-on any time soon...
i think there should be a more open thread where all of us who are trying to contact rock-on currently can share some info more readily...

Just to let everyone know: admin are not sitting on their hands over this but we do try to give some room when even the slightest progress is being made.
Since someone is (sorta) answering the phones there and it seems Jr has taken over, there needs to be a little (we mean *little*) amount of time to get this mess straightened out.

ok, i got somebody on the phone finally, it was one of Dave's friends (the hired answering service lol). really couldnt make out all of what he was saying but he said Dave either has been or will be out for a few days because he is/was in the hospital. i asked for a tracking number for my trans, he took my information and told me he would contact Dave or somebody and try to get back to me tomorrow morning.
Somehow i doubt i will be recieving a call because that has been told to me by different people from there for a while now. but i am a little more at ease knowing that the phone will alteast ring and i might be able to talk to somebody down there.

If Dave is in the hospital or not, it's still the case that customer service there has taken a major nose dive. It's been bad pretty much all summer. I was not able to get a hold of them so I took them off the site. My guess is that they run a lean operation and that nobody is doing phones. What usually happens is that someone will start taking calls and checking emails, but by then a lot of folks end up charging stuff back on their credit card. I suggest you do whatever you think you need to do. I tried getting a hold of them four times a few weeks ago.

update...i called again yesterday and the guy basically repeated what he said before. is it possible to charge-back a transmission if i bought it, then returned it because i broke something? i really dont think that would work but i dont know exactly what i could possibly do in my case...
ok looks like they arent answering the phones again, i guess that guy quit because of too many bitchy customers, i'm going to my credit card company, maybe they'll have better look contacting them...

Verdad Gallardo well i got the trans, it isnt the one i sent them for repairs, its just another one, minus the derale pan, poly trans mount, and tailshaft housing i had attached to the other one. but hey atleast i got it. it looks right but there are some slight differences i'm hoping they are just due to different year or something, i'll post pics tomorrow...
