I appreciate your concern regarding Rock On and keeping this as gossip free as possible.

The true concern here is resolving outstanding transactions from members here that ordered from them. It has been mentioned it may take filing a claim to obtain a judgement if Rock On is unable to fulfill these outstanding orders and/or warranty claims.

Default Rock On Update

It's sort of ridicolous that I can't update people with newly received information in their thread.. but in any event.. I received an email today.. from my better business bureau claim. They claim that Rock On is officially out of business. I don't know if that helps anybody or not, but that is what the email says.. I will post a case # later, as I haven't slept in 24 hours and can't even bring myself to open a browser.

Peace,
Josh

Even through the holidaze, I am working to try to get the information those owed by Rock On. It can take me weeks to find the proper authorities and/or legal resources but I will try to have it done for our members before the year is out.

Is that what you filed with the BBB?

From what anyone can tell it seems Dave has given up at Rock On. If you have an outstanding claim please try the resources of your credit card company, PayPal (may be too late for that, not sure) and file a complaint with the Attorney General both local and in Dallas/DFW area.

If we could get a sound off from those still owed, amounts and/or cores please post. If you are resolved then start a seperate post in the section below as it may be helpful to those looking to try to find a way to recoup what they are rightfully owed.

Make certain you have all paperwork related to your transaction with Rock On. Email, pm's or posts here that were responded directly by anyone at Rock On are further proof of a claim. If you have no paperwork, the courts, Attorney General and legal system in general cannot help you.

Wish it were better news but such is not the case.

I have no paperwork.. Dave refused to pm me.. All I have, if it's still available is the paypal transfer through paypal.. which even then I'm not sure if it's still on record

I'm basically screwed. It wasn't but for $600, but $600 was enough to disinterest me in finishing the car, and I sold all the stuff I had bought for it at discount price and lost more. I sold my brand new yank stall, my tranny cooler, my cam, headers, valvesprings, my ls6 intake, my hp tuners.. My lca's, my underdrive pulley, my aphr, my skinnies, tnt f2 kit, etc.

I sold it all before I even got a chance to get use out of it, because it did me no good without a transmission that could handle the abuse of what I was going to install. My stock tranny had over 100k on it.

I'm just sour and wish there was something I could do to regain my dough.

Josh

Just an update that I have touch based with Dave... He is out of the hospital, and he is trying to get back on his feet again and repay the folks he owes.. He said he has only been back open a month, and things are starting to look up, and he hopes to send me my money very shortly.

I feel confident that he is going to try to take care of whomever has been wronged, and he verbally listed to me everybody he owed money, and I think he's ready to get everybody paid off and get his shop back full steam ahead so he can make a living again..

Let's hope the best for him, and the people who he is debted to and hopefully this will work out the best for both of them.

Thanks,
Josh

I haven't shot him an email for awhile, I'll give it a try to see whats up.

Thanks for the update - wish I were closer to his location though everyone should have a claim filed so this can be fully resolved if possible by Dave.

3 months later and still nothing, my time is running out to take legal issue. So I guess I will have to exercise that option, as its closing in on 2 years since paypal date now of $600, which is a felony.

Anybody had any updates?

Thanks,
Josh

We encouraged everyone to file a legal complaint last year as soon as it was apparent there was a problem. Let me check to see if you have some of the contact information required, will send it to you in pm.

I never got a pm.. Nor did I get the information you were going to have before the year is out. If there is any information you can give me to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh
