Thanks to all of you for your support. I will still be doing work "on the side" for now and hope to eventually get back into my own shop. I can still do turbo kits as well. Maybe one day I will again be a sponsor on here. Any questions email me at RamAir96@aol.com

Yes they did, but I don't think they owe anyone any parts or deposits.

Are you thinking of selling the shop? Or what's the deal with that?

GMR SPEED is closed, not for sale. I just want to do what I can to help customers who invested in us and give them the support I offererd. i will use all of my resources to deliver the products/quality I promised. When Shane ordered a GMR Speed Turbo Kit I was then devoted to helping him. So no matter what it takes for me to make sure his car is properly running I will do. I am an enthusiast before a business owner, anyone that would have been a customer would be my friend as we have a love for the same thing.
I am just looking to help fellow enthusiasts in anyway, not screw anyone over. I love this sport/lifestyle too much to have to worry about playing hide and seek with anyone and I would not do anything to make a bad name for myself. I know turbo companies have got a bad rap in the past, but we did not start out as a turbo company. We started GMR because we love the Fbody world and everything it has to offer.; We built a turbo kit and did not deliver like we shoudl have and I am embarressed of that. I have done everything I can to help every customer, all I ask is that, that be seen instead of a simple cheap bracket not sent on time, I am dooing what I can even though it is costing me time and money. I have no problem doing this as I do not want to see anyone unhappy with a product branded with one of my initials on it.

Here's a PM still I still have from 08-30-2006. Mind you, this was 4 months after the kit arrived, and it's nearly a year later, and the promises have still not been fulfilled. So stating that you are not leaving any body in the dark, and closing in good terms, I'll be happy to chime in that I was one of your paying customers with some expectations that to this day still have not been fulfilled.

This should br resolved by weeks end and I will have that out to you.

I had two big exhaust leaks that I've finally addressed, along with adding a support bracket for the pipe with the BOV as it was flexing too much under boost. Now that I've taken care of these, I want to push the boost up from 5psi to 10psi, but would like to have the support bracket in place before doing so as well.

Thanks,
Scott

A few weeks later on 09-12-2006, another unanswered PM:

Any update on this bracket Leo?

If the manifold was going to crack, where would it crack at? Over the past week, my car started making a loud ticking sound and is definitely leaking, but it doesn't appear to be the log. The noise appears to be coming from the flange going into the turbo. I can't tell for sure as I haven't had time to inspect it closely.

Thanks,
Scott
I've hounded Young a lot more than you, as I ordered the kit directly from him, but everything he has shown me shows the same promises. You sold me a kit that advertised this special bracket as an edge over similiar competitors, and to this day, I still haven't seen anything.

For the record here too -- I'm not bashing you or your shop. I'm trying to get this resolved as I still need the bracket. If at all possible, I would like to get this before racing season this year as I plan on pushing the car a bit harder.

If I had the choice to turn back time and do it all over, would I? Most definitely. Your kit, while I've had my share of headaches, and continual new ones here and there, this kit has been on my daily driver since last May, with no major issues.

Allow me to chime in here since Leo has seen fit to through me under the bus on something that is not my fault. I have PM'd Byunspeed about this situation and I not only intend to fix the problem but actually will. I have never talked to the machine show until just a couple of days ago for the first time as Leo was the one always in touch with them. The part in question was left at the shop and I'm guessing that it got thrown away in his cleaning process.

"First off Leo is lying to everyone so don't take it personnal. The bracket that he took forever to get made was lost because his lazy *** didn't clean up himself. Instead he told some kid that knew nothing to through **** away and not knowing what it was. I told him wednesday to call the machine shop and find out if I need to drop the head off for them to make us another one and I guess instead he'd rather blame me. Tell you what I will just go there and talk to them myself since he obviousely just doesn't want to bother. As soon as I have one in my hands I will send it overnight."
Wow Rick, you are fucked up man. All the time i've spent around the shop and i've never seen Leo lie to anyone, and i've spent a alot of time up there. I understand your pissed the shop closed, but that wasnt Leo's fault, and he dosent deserve to be trashed like this. Especally after all the 16-20hr days i've seen him put in to get **** done on time. And all the money he spent out of his own pocket just to make sure customers were taken care of before the shop closed.

I really think you owe Leo an apology.

Well Leo's last post hit the nail right on the head. Why he would assume I stole the bracket is beyond me let alone tell young that. I've never stolen anything (hell I didn't even take a quart of oil from the shop with out letting you know) And for that he owes me an apology. But for clearing things up a bit I will give him one. Sorry this got so out of control. Lord knows I don't need this stress, Sorry man and good luck. As for young dispite all this crap I will still get that bracket out to you when its made.

While I have the mind to kill some responses as they could have been taken up in pm, it does show GMR is not leaving anyone in the lurch.

Now that everyone is filled in it will be locked. Any further contact can be done in pm about the bracket.

Thank you.
