Angry Speed Inc for the LOSE!

Hey guys, just wanted to share the experience I had with speedinc (www.ls1speed.com). I ordered a cutout flange, electric cutout, Fast 90 intake, NW 90 TB, and UD pulley. This was my second transaction with speedinc, and definetly my last. I have ordered parts from all sorts of companies, and never had a problem. The first time, I spend over $1700 at one place, everything hits the fan. When I first ordered all the parts, I was surprised they didnt come in after 7 days. I called speedinc, and they said they were waiting on the TB, and asked if I wanted all the other items now, or with the TB. Umm, duhh, now. When that telephone conversation took place, it was a week and 5 days until I received the parts minus the TB. So at this point I had to call speedinc, twice a week to get status updates on the TB. After 5 weeks of the order date, they said they were getting them in the next day. So I asked them, "Can I get faster shipping on the TB, like next day or 2-day?" They responded, "Sure, which one do you want to pay for?" When I told them that I was going to pay for the faster shipping, and that they should, they tried to play a pity card by telling me the customer how much they had already payed in shipping for the other parts. (???) Well after 6 weeks, and still no TB. I called them and said, "Is the TB there?" (no) "Well then I want a refund for the TB." He said ok, its done. I hung up. Then checking my checking account balance, I notice my account balance has not increased. I just got off the phone with them, and the salesman tells me the refunded it to store credit. Like I would ever order something from them again. I told him to refund the amount to my debit card, and he said "Ok, its done". I'll be checking my account the next couple of days. Last of all, to sum this up... If there happened to actually be a back up of NW 90 TB's, where it took a while to get them from the manufacturer, then how come the day after I cancelled my order (which was never cancelled) I called a local speed shop (non-sponsor), and asked if they had some in stock, they didnt. So I ordered it through them, 2 days later, it came in and I had my NW 90mm TB. Must have been pretty backed up huh?

Summary:
1. Ordered parts.
2. 5 weeks later, first of the parts arrived.
3. 6 weeks later all the parts had not arrived
4. Asked for a refund, and did not receive one.

So just a heads up for all you guys with LS1speed.com.

Just spoke with Speed Inc, without a name or order number there is no way to look up the status of your refund though any requested are being done.

There were other customers waiting on the same TB, now that they finally have the backorder in from the manufactuer they are being shipped out.

Jordan

Lets go though a few things.

First we shipped the parts (intake etc (7/12/07) to an address you gave and the parts were refused at the address. Then shipped back to us on our dime.

second you had us re-ship them to an FPO AP address, no problem, this only cost $62 and my own time going to the post office. Not a problem. Theirs other companies who don't ship to APO/FPO addresses and some that have a surcharge, we don't do that; its our small convenience we do for our service members.

I'd like to apoligize for delays we had in sourcing parts, we have cleared these up and credited you on the throttle body you had ordered.

I'd like to make this up to you if need anything.

If you got that many parts shipped an APO/FPO address in 12 days total with a change to an out of country address, its still fast for USPS shipping.
When I first ordered all the parts, I was surprised they didnt come in after 7 days. {edit} When that telephone conversation took place, it was a week and 5 days until I received the parts minus the TB.

Its no wonder we couldn't find any information the first phone call on this order - we were looking for a stateside address.

Well, if you sent out the packages before and they were retuned to you, this is news to me. The first time I called you, you had told me they had not been shipped out yet. This is when I changed the shipping address from an FPO address to my friends address (normal residential) and that was when you told me you were going to send out everything (minus TB) to the address listed, which took 12 days. Also, if you guys were backed up on the NW TB for so long, then how come when I contacted my local speed shop, they did NOT have it in stock, but ordered it, and I drove to pick it up 2 days later? I did ask if they were ordering from the manufacturer or if they got it from like a warehouse they have or whatever, and they are getting it from the manufacturer. Anyways, long story short, usually when I budget out over $1700 to spend on my car, at least I would like to receive the items.

I think we process and ship roughly 85% of orders the same day.

You wern't the only person waiting on a throttle body, backorders do me no favor, its extra work, stress, all part of the game I guess?

At the moment we have 8 NW 90s on the shelf.

Like I said, call or email i'm sure I could make it up to you, if your interested?

Just an update I checked my account balance today as well, and the TB has not been refunded. Im still confused as to why my title in this post was changed to add "resolved". I thought the purpose of this subforum, was to express complaints in addition to praises, not as soon as the sponsor replies, to change my title to resolved.

you were credited, it doesn't show up automatically, 2-3 working days?

What was resolved is I credited you for the throttle body, and made a resonable offer you havn't replied to me with.

Is their something I can do for you Jordan?

please email me.
