If they shipped it Thursday, I should see it by next week Friday the latest, correct?
I'll keep an eye out for that and the swaybar brackets.

Received the swaybar brackets and green bearings, thanks Scott.

Not crazy about welding these BMR brackets ( I thought we agreed on Spohn bolt-in brackets).

My concern now is the green bearings. I can see they are the SEALED green bearings versus the prior open green bearings.
From your PM we had discussed, I thought I was suppose to receive axle seals to go in the inner housing ends to keep the diff lube from getting to the sealed green bearings. Am I correct? If so, I did not receive any additional seals, just the green bearings.

Without an inner seal, won't the gear lube eventually wash out the bearings?

Please let me know as soon as possible so I can get this leak fixed.

Look forward to you reply.

Gil

The Green bearings will not allow gear oil to pass thru and make sure you put some RTV on the outside of the bearings to ade the o-ring from dry roting and cracking over time.

Finally got the new bearings in. Seems to be holding up well and not leaking.

I applied RTV as you suggested around the outer o-ring.

Any chance getting reimbursed on the cost of having the bearings pressed on/off the axles? Costed $104. I can post the recipt if you like.

I take it I am stuck with the $104 bill for pressing these bearings which leaked in less than 400 miles on this brand new rear? Not to mention my time and labor to remove the disc brakes, axles, drive to the shop to have the bearings pressed, re-install the parts and remove all the gear lube splattered all over the inside of my new C6 wheels, tires and wheelhouses?

Small price to pay if you ask me.

I remember reading here how Strange Engineering stepped up to the plate and had someone here take their S60 rear to an authorized local shop to repair a defect and picked up the COMPLETE tab for it....
