Besides several other mistakes....

Both axles are leaking because the wrong axle seals/bearings were installed.

Make sure they do not forget to weld your swaybar brackets as well...I am still driving without a rear swaybar and promised many moons ago my brackets (after thought fix) will be here so I can re-attach the sway bar.

BTW, i have yet to hear from you Scott.

So you are recommending strange then? NO sway bar brackets?

Not trying to be a jerk, but I got Moser axles from Scott a couple months ago that DID NOT fit properly in my Eaton posi (very loose tooth contact). When I asked him if I could return them, he said "money is a little tight right now, see if you can sell them." This was not the answer I was looking for. Good luck with your S60.

Here's my experience with DLS.

I did not want to post anything negative, but it has been over THREE months and NO RESOLUTION! I think I am right by voicing now after numerous, e-mails, phone calls and PM's on this message board to try to resolve this with a vendor directly.

I ordered an S60 Dana 3 channel w/ 4.10 TrueTrac for a street car with a T/A Girdle and a DLS 1000hp non-twist driveshaft back in March. Total w/ shipping: over $3300.

April I get the rear poorly packaged. Simply strapped to a pallet with cellophane which offered no protection to the brake backing plates, hence bent backing plates. Too bad my shipping dept did not notice the damage on delivery because of the cellophane making it difficult to make a damage claim.

Ok, I have bent backing plates, no biggie I figured, straighten them out and install the rear.

Installing the rear, I noticed there was no bracket to attach my rear swaybar to. Called Scott, tells me to use 3" muffler clamps to attach my swaybar!!! Muffler clamps?!?!? I just laid over three large ones and I need muffler clamps for someting you forgot to install!
I told him that was unacceptable. He told me would send the SPohn kit but he said it was on backorder. I said ok, ship it when they come in.

Ok, now I try to install the driveshaft. Guess what? STOCK length! Needless to say, I was pissed. Paid $325 for this driveshaft and it does not fit!
Called Scott, tells me have it cut at the local driveshaft shop and he'll reimburse me. Nice offer to reimburse, but now I am cutting a new performance drivehsaft to fix your mistake? Great customer service should have been to offer a new correct shaft asap.

Have the driveshaft cut to proper length, eventually got reimbursed for the driveshaft cut and keep asking for my swaybar brackets (this is over a period of over a month or so).
Keeps telling me (when I get a hold of him) still on some bad a$$ backorder ( meanwhile I know the ws6 store has them) and offered to give me his "race car's" brackets since he was going to a different set-up.
I said ok as long as they are NOT CRUSTY (my EXACT words), since I figured it was a clean weekend racecar.

Finally get the brackets and guess what? Crusty as hell (like a daily driver with 50k miles) and grind marks like someone was using a cut-off wheel near them. The endlink hardware was also missing.

I told him this was unacceptable and wanted a new set. Not installing some crusty parts on a beautiful $3k rear!

He said he would have a new set from Spohn sent out and to return the old ones.

Waited, waited, waited, waited and still waited..no brackets! Called and left many voicemails, e-mails and pm's. No answer from him until out of the blue after over a MONTH I get a PM reply saying he is sending a new set out along with some parts to fix the leaking axle shaft seals! (occurred within the break-in time).
I e-mailed pics of the axle seal leakage and he said he would send me the correct sealed bearings with tube seals (which should have been in place to begin with!)

I sent a PM back in early August asking where are the parts he said he was sending (besides the spohn kit). he pm's me on the 15th telling me he sent them a "few days ago". All the time never having a tracking number to present.

On the 18th I get a reply, "I had to send a second set out, the us mail lost the first package."

What crock of $hit is that! I have bought TONS of items, whether it was US Postal, UPS or FedEx, I have never had a lost package! To top it off, we are TWO WEEKS since the 18th when teh "supposed" second set were shipped out. Well? Where the hell are they? Lost again?

Needless to say, he is unreachable again.

The night I posted this thread was when coincidentally I noticed Scott had just posted 3 replies to 3 different threads.

I posted a reply within a minute of his post..no reply. Ok, so I post this obvious thread.
I wait and wait, watch the view counts and goes up by one view in over ten minutes. I know you read this post Scott.

If I do not hear from you soon, I will be reporting this to my credit card company and the better business bureau. I have all the times and dates documented and all e-mails and pm's sent.

What do you think? This will just go away? For crying out loud, it has been 5 MONTHS! Enough is enough! Step up to the plate and do what is right.

I forgot to mention, I also have an ABS light that comes on exactly at 48 mph. I have shimmed the ABS sensor due to death, closer, farther-nothing helps.

Look at my feedback here and ebay. I am a serious customer and spend lots on parts. Always pay immediately whatever the asking price is, no questions asked, but please DELIVER AND STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT!
Just ask the other sponsors here..Texas Speed, SpeedInc, Greenlight Motorsports, Patriot.... I have spent thousands with them!

So should you buy anything from DLS? What do you think?

We actually get stuff lost in the mail every now and then, it does happen and it is a hassle for the vendor who shipped out the parts, as it takes forever to get reimbursed by the carrier. Bob

Thanks for the reply Bob, please do not take the following personally. I am just super pissed off for being a nice guy and trusting someone's word and being taken as an idiot.

OK, let's say the first package did get lost, where is the second package when I was told back 2 weeks ago it was shipped out? Even the slowest shipping service would have gotten here already.

How about not answering or replying to voice mails, e-mails and pm's. It is not like I was e-mailing. calling everyday. they were spread out in weeks and months!

5 months to get swaybar brackets for my rear?

Let's talk about more about lost packages.

Over the course of the last month I spent over $15k in parts for my other project car.
Over $2k in a wire harness and computer.
$2k in front suspension perf parts.
$1400 custom EFI fuel tank
$1300 Custom aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans
$9k on a new engine

Not a lost package there....

Thanks for your understanding.

It's just too bad it had to come down to this.

By the way, no word from Scott.

I included some pics of the leaking axle shafts.

Here's on where you can see it leaking out and onto my parking brakes, rear disc brakes and my new C6 wheels...

You can see there is no seal whatsoever behind the ball bearing axle bearing becuase they are the wrong type bearings.

Ok, my side of what happened. Yes the driveshaft was a shipping mistake by the company that makes them for me. The shipping alone would have costed more than to have your local company cut it down and rebalance so why thats a big deal I have no idea since I paid for the labor. I was assured by my supplier that those axle bearings would not leak and they did and I did get a set out to you promptly. As for the swaybar kit we did agree on the used Spohn kit I had here that I ran on my own vehicle for less that one season since it was a bolt on and I had it ready to go. Sorry they weren't up to you standards and a new set of BMR weld on brackets are on there way. Have a nice day Gil, and please put some RTV on the brearings as to help keeep the o-ring from dry rotting and cracking thus starting a new leak.

As for the rest of the responces posted on this thread they are needless and unprofessional IMO.

Why it was a big deal? The inconvenience of the car being stuck at the shop and taking a cab 23 miles to my house... Having paid almost $400 for an incorrect driveshaft and having a clean new part cut and rewelded...

I was assured by my supplier that those axle bearings would not leak and they did and I did get a set out to you promptly.

Ok, where are the new bearings and seals? It's been a month since you told me you were shipping out, over 2 weeks since you said the second set shipped out and still no parts.

I agreed on a NON-CRUSTY set of parts. Why would some dirty old parts on a brand new rear? Besides, no swaybar endlinks were supplied which you need to run those brackets.
Why are the replacement brackets weld-on and BMR? We agreed on a Spohn bolt in set. You expect me to weld on the brackets and have to repaint the rear, not too mention the possible distortion form welding?

I hope we are talking about the new bearings and seals.

If I posted these a week or two after I FIRST received it, it would be unprofessional. After 5 months and no answers or parts, it's not uprofessional.

Playing games? Come on Scott. Present me a tracking number and PROOF of package refusal?

MANY MANY MANY times I have asked you for a tracking number which you NEVER present.
It's only my wife and I and she has not refused any packages.

Now, why would I be playing games here? I have a $3k rear leaking and anunuseable car in need of repair.

What about the second package? Never seen that either?

Which carrier did you ship with?

By the way, for professional customer service, the phone works better or a direct e-mail so I can know the status of my dilemma. The only way I know about this is to hawk over this thread to see some sort of reply from you.

Still look forward to some parts to get this leaking, non-sway bar'd rear fixed.

Give Scott a call to sort this out, sounds like there has been some miscommunication.

Back from vacation please call us at (586)-218-7140.

Gearhed,

That "back from vacation" quote was from way back in July.

We are in September, no replies in August.

There is no miscommunication here. I have left numerous voicemails with no replies. He has 2 phone numbers and 2 voicemails which he never replies back or answers.
he must caller ID and ignores my calls.

I know he is a sponsor here, as many others I have purchased from, but due diligence is due. he has not called me whatsoever since April/May.

Show me the tracking number with the refusal and who signed the refusal and then we I can believe you on the package.

I had the bearings shipped from the same supplier that assured me the open ones wouldn't leak. So how am I supposed to know the tracking information? I did double check the ship to and it was the same as the one you gave me and they reshipped it on Thursday.
