~I was very disapointed with this shop~

I have an 87 camaro i was trying to get my UMI sub frame connectors welded on. I contacted tyson at Performance Auto Fabrication, after hearing about his shop and his amazing work. with also his good prices. from third gen.org http://http://www.thirdgen.org/techb...okin-shop.html

i am a college kid, 19 years old,dont have that much money to thorw around. I live in the zip code 20902 and his shop is about an hour away in finksbug md. I Called tyson about 2 times or so. once to make an apointment for that monday at 930 am ( after tyson sugested 845ish) the 2nd time was so it would be reasuring that the opiontment is there. I was quoted for 120 not a bad price at all I was extreemly exited to get the sfc welded on and welded on by some one that has such a great rep

I Left my house early monday morning,to beat traffic and get to the oppiontment early so i wouldn't keep tyson waiting on me. I go to his shop circaled the parking lot for a few mins b.c i couldnt find a # saying that was his shop or a sign saying so.
So i called tyson and couldnt get a hold of him for about 5-10 mins, (i understand nextell sux ***). After geting a hold of him{he sounded dead tired or just woke up) i ask him wich is is shop and then he goes a head and tells me hes not there and how hes coming back from the LSX SHOOTOUT racese and hes not even close, he told be he was 2-3 hours away and it was not his fault for not being there b.c the races ened late and he wasn't driving a buddy was. I went on to say that it is very unprofessonal to not show or call at when we made a time/date to meet up. I explained to him I am a collage kid that planned my whole week end around this trip up to his shop to get the sfc welded in. then i went on sayin if you make an opiontent you should be there. If your not going to be there you call and let the other party know.

I was quit mad ,but i was holdin my temp cuz i needed the work done,and i wasnt trying to be an *******. i asked him iight can we make a new time and date? can i get a discount since i drove allthe way there and he wasnt even there. he told me straight out NO. why not b/c i dont make that much off of you. so wat? i wasted my time and gas to come up here.. alright alright ill give you 10 bux off. kinda angery still cuz it took more then 10 bucks to get up there in my camaro. asking so how will i know you will be there next time? you won't... him just being a dick to me then i thanked him for his time and hung up my phone

I am VERY disapointed since this shop was very highly recomended and few friend have used him that i know and not some randome people. I would not recomend this shop to anyone
The way i was treated is not the way you treat customers and he gave me very bad customer service

Sorry.. for the inconvenience or if I seemed rude to you.. I didnt think the lsx race was going to end so late on Sunday eveing. I planned on being at the shop at 8 am Monday but instead we ended back at 130 monday. What can I do to make it up to you for my no show?

To make it up how about weld up my lower control arm relocation brakets and make sure my suspenion is set up right for the original price?


Thank you for not just writting me off as some ******* kid and that you are willing to make it up for the no show but ideas can get thrown around

Its not really right to come on here and bash someone with a known reputation just b/c they messed up once... i was at the lsx shootout and i left early b/c i didnt feel like waiting around ...and more than likely he didnt have your number on him to call you and reshedule your appointment... but i understand your mad its just not right to completly bash him over something so small..... being understanding and mature about things gets you alot further in the end....

 

i guess it wasnt right for me to just come here and bash him. b.c i dont have alot of posts here. i normaly on thirdgen.org and ls1.com what he did in my opionon was wrong and now tyson and I are going to work somthing out. My intent was to inform other people on my experiance with tyson, If i had a good experance with him i would have posted good things about him and his work.

i dont know how old you are or finalcail position, im 19 in college and paying my way though everyting , last week i got layed off from work b.c the place got sold and they cleared house. my time/gas could have been spent on other thing of more importance if he wasnt going to be their
