Exclamation FedEx screwed up shipment from LMP

lmperformance inc. posted a sale on American Racing headers w/ y pipe
I bit and ordered a set w/ catted y-pipe for an '01 Z28.

I asked that the shipment be held at the local facility for pickup, I didn't want it left on the porch.

-got the confirmation letter
-checked my credit card and it was charged
-got my shipping confirmation
-got my FedEx tracking # w/ scheduled delivery 12/22
-tracked my shipment day by day
-didn't get any calls on Sat.
-checked the FedEx site and it shows the package as delivered
to another town miles away
-someone that isn't me signed and received the package
-called FedEx and they confirmed it was delivered, was told to contact the company who shipped it
-called lmperformance, got after hours tech support and was told to call Monday. On Christmas Eve?
-checked lmperformance's website, no order support until Jan. 5
-sent a pm to lmperformance here

now I sit here with no headers, my situation is in limbo because of the holidays

I hope somebody from lmperformance sees this, I just want the headers that I paid for.

Jan.5 is so far away, I'm trying to stay calm/collected/rational but being in limbo(especially during the holidays) is just getting me heated

ed: I'm going to call my credit card company asap and open a dispute. I was advised by ex law enforcement that waiting might actually hurt my case. Hate to do it this way without hearing from lmperformance but waiting until Jan. 5th might not be in my best interest.

update:

got a call from lmperformance and they cleared a couple things up
and offered a solution

let me emphasize, lmperformance is not who I'm targeting

so far lmperformance has been more helpful than FedEx

it's FedEx I'm more concerned about since I've been screwed
by them in the past

and I didn't call my credit card company to open a dispute
since lmperformance contacted me

Going to retitle this thread, we are seeing more screwups by FedUp than any other shipper lately

We have had a total of 3 mess up's this whole year by UPS, and 2 were to the same person. :-)

Default Update:

Ok finally got my headers.
Everything in the box was accounted for.

a few things:
-I looked at the address label and it had the address of the closest FedEx facility. But for some reason someone made a note that the FedEx closest to me 'does not accept personal packages'. What's up with that? So my package was stuck at a facility further away.

-Maybe I overreacted but I'm sure if you're tracking your package and shows its status as being delivered with some unknown person signing for it you'd blow a gasket too. Having been burned by FedEx in the past along with horror stories from an ex-Fedex employee you'd think the worst.

-A big thanks to LMP. They called me on a Sunday morning when they didn't have to and were very supportive. This kind of reassurance is something that means a lot to me.

Glad to hear you finally got your parts. It sucks when shipping companies don't train holiday employees and the long timers no longer care where a package goes.
