Question concerning Our K&N Intakes!!
You LS4(Imps & Monte) guys need to go out & check that right(and left) headlight along the bottom to see if gap is present!! And would this be a concern for our intakes when it comes to heavy rain or even washing the vehicles please let the crusader know thanks,....Here are a couple of pics:
You can see visible gap along the bottom of this right lamp

here I ran a small phillips along the bottom of this lamp with EASE!! Am I just paranoid??

Although I did make a different intake trim on my K&N due to the fact of how lousy the K&N trim peels off!! I ordered free trim for the 2nd time & covered it with some piping foam wrap so it is a lot thicker. The Hood was just a "little" more difficult to shut but not much at all!
This should have not cause so much Gap under my headlight simply because when I'm pushing up on the bumper it barely moves!! Now had it been a lot of play in the bumper, that would be a different story! Check out revised K&N trim!
I took a little off the top & the hood shuts back to normal but the gap is still there. Its almost as if this car was just manufacture like this. I've seen a couple of Imps & montes where one Lamp had gap & the other did not, uneven bumpers and etc! I sprayed water straight thru the right side where the gap lies & I did have a couple of drops & small puddles by the PCM. So I probaly will line some seal along the bottom of the lamp itself, & call it a day!

If so, it's the cause, if not then it's just coincidence you noticed it after the fact.
