Default Shining/polishing the Alcoa wheels?

My GXP was a lease return from up north, and the rims are fairly scratched up with light surface scratches... it kind of makes the finish look dull.

What's the best method to polish these out? Are these wheels coated with anything, or are they just polished aluminum?

Mark

You can co it either by hand or with a buffer, a small buffer would work best, but my Milwaukee 7 1/2" would do just fine.

If the rims are scratched like he said they won't just clean up like very light paint scratches are maybe I'm to **** and it has to be perfect for me.

The wheels have a high build-up of clear than a clear coat paint job, meaning you can sand and buff if needed to an extent of course.

LOL, now that's funny!

Stealth, I saw a silver GXP with the stock wheels coated grey and it looked fantastic.

I've got some scratch remover, I'll try that by hand first. I'm nervous about using my rotary buffer on the wheels with all of the edges and stuff I'd probably burn through the clearcoat and make matters worse!
